Is there no reformed church near you, Sammy?

There is actually,And i want to be there so bad..lol..Every thing tells me that i should leave my church..But because certain things that i feel like the Lord may have been bringing to my attention,I feel like I'm suppose to be there and maybe,I could be part of something that the Lord may use to change the Church?i know that may sound very prideful but it seems like that could be a possibility.

I teach Sunday school at times over there and I love the kids and wold be insanely worried to "leave' them there..Did I mention that I am 21 years old and my mother would be on my case about it?

I'm happy I'm here can someone help me?I'm thinking of maybe attending both for now...

Don't try to change the church! You will only make enemies. But do teach what you believe to be true.

As for your mother, you have to step out on your own decisions sometime. Actually, it might not be as big a deal as you think it is. She loves you as her son and would be happy that you are in church at all!

Sammy... take heart! At least you know what to expect when you talk to people there.

I did a stint at a PCUSA church... while they officially tolerated reformed theology, I would either get nods of agreement, quizzical looks of puzzlement, horrified looks of shock, or strange expressions consistent with something unexpected being found in the punch bowl at a wedding reception... whenever I said anything that smelled of RT. So I never knew what to expect with different folks. Makes it hard to have a conversation sometimes.

=======

By the way... Update:

biopsy came back, and my skin thing turns out to NOT be cancer after all... it's precancerous, so they are taking it off (liquid nitrogen in 4 weeks... like for a wart... should be "pleasant" ), but apparently no worries. Thanks for all the prayers.

Wow,I'm glad to know that you are going to be fine.i failed to explain it properly,it's not just the fact that I'm Reformed..They are also very influenced by the WOF doctrine as well...It's just frustrating..thank you for the help men and women..I really appreciate it.
