I figure that it's a cw change, but I'm wondering which one exactly We've had quite a few for sure. The one that upset me the most is v2 when they first went to this type of board. I missed the old one a lot and was glad when they got back to it, even if it did fall apart after a while.

Sharon, My mom asked how you were today. She said you had been on her mind. I had asked her to pray for you several times since you lost Jeff, and she still remembers to do so. Just wanted you to know

Just wanted you to know (((((Karlie's Mom))))) (((((Karlie)))))) Oh, that is so nice Karlie that she asked and continues to pray. Please tell her that I'm doing okay. It truly helps to know that I am so supported by the love and prayers of my friends and their family and friends. It still feels..."strange" in so many little ways, but I'm not having as many "insecure" feelings as I had at first. Not sure how I'm going to feel when/if Josh and Anoush go further away than just 18 miles north though. I try not to think about it right now and just focus on today one day at a time. Remind me I said that if I get to whining okay? LOL! ~~~~ Donna, you are very welcome. I just love, love, love their expressions!! And WOW those dandelions are huge. Our's aren't that big around. ~~~~~~ Hey everyone!! I came to CW in 2001-February I think. Catherine knows for sure. She corrected me that last time I tried to figure it out. I have to say though, I agree with Sharon-Marie about Christine's memory!! I used to have a good memory.

I love the shade of blue on the background of those pictures. It really helps to make their blonde little heads and those brilliant golden yellow dandelions POP!

ORIGINAL: PrincessDonna You just love it all. Hey, what can I say! They are just tooo cute. And Hannah with her face half covered... I can't imagine a person not getting a smile after looking at that picture. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks Karlie. I don't think I said anything here last week after Confirmation Sunday. But Jeff was the mentor for one the confirmands...who was also our SS student. His name is Sam. Well, when Jeff died, they asked Hal (a man in our congregation) if he would stand in for the rest of the time as Sam's mentor. He agreed and since January took Sam under his wing, so to speak. Well, during the Confirmation service, each confirmand, their parents and mentor all come up in front of Pastor, the confirmand kneels and the others lay hands on the confirmand as Pastor confirms them. Then the confirmand receives a gift from the congregation presented by their mentor and then the confirmand gives a rose to their mentor. All very cool and nice. Well after the service was all over, I headed to the narthex to give the kids the card I had made for each of them and Hal stepped out and gave his rose to me. Oh, boy, that teared me up. I thought that was so sweet of him and I did not expect anything like that. I was just soooo glad that someone had stepped up for Sam right away. Only tomorrow and next Sunday for SS until September. I am going to officially "retire" from teaching this year and be able to attend the adult class. It's been 14 years that I have taught...ha!...learned from them, but it's time for someone else to have a chance at it.

I was wondering if you'd give that up. I agree. Time for you to benefit from the adult classes and let someone else take the kids. 14 years is a long time! I keep praying for you. {{{{{{Sharon}}}}}}}

ORIGINAL: Kath V1 and V3 were about the same, but V3 was improved. Then it fell apart and we had to start deleting threads every 3 months! Imagine how that would affect post count! We'd for sure hear screaming if that happened now. I don't remember the V3 deleting that had to happen every three months. But I do remember V2 and I posted there almost never. Sharon, yes it was February 2001. :)

Oh man there were a lot of different changes to CW. I don't remember them all very well. I remember a red one, that's when I started posting. I remember a blue one I think, then a blue one that was like the red one? Then when Fritz came back they made it MUCH better. Then we had that one for awhile until they couldn't maintain it. It was archaic. Then we switched to this style (which is what every other major message board is like that I've found) and spent a lot of time trying to make it work right. And then we blended with sooooooooo many other people.

I think I first started on CW in 2001, after I got engaged. Mostly, I posted in M&E, The Church, Christian Doctine, He Says and Marriage. Back then the Marriage folder was much more positive, and I got some good encouragement and advice. I have no idea what my user name was, though. Anyway, after a short while, AOL wouldn't allow me to post on CW, so I vanished until 2004, when we left AOL. I returned pretty much to the same folders, although by then I developed a conviction that I shouldn't go to He Said, but rather ask John directly when I wanted his male perspective. I think Marsha emailed me in 2006, after she'd seen one of my posts about Cerebral Palsy, and she told me about her PFY thread. A few days later, I started Here Comes The Bride, not intending to visit other PFY threads except for Marsha's. But Darcy suggested that I explore PFY threads. Now I mostly post in this folder, though I try to keep a finger in some theology threads too.

AOL used Crosswalk for their webforums content for a time.
