I seem to be having some problems in my mouth. It's gross so I will try to do it in a color that won't show up and if you want to read ityou can highlight it.

The gums were irritated and bleeding whenever i would eat. Well, I just felt with my tongue and it felt like I had skin on top of the tooth he had just fixed. I looked and it's like the gums filled with blood and there's a big blood blister up the side and top of the tooth.
See I told you it was gross.

I called back the dentist. He's with a patient but will call me back when he's done.

ETA: He called back and said to wipe it off with a wet paper towel or something and it should be fine. The gums were just really damaged because there was a lot of gunk in the cavity. They are still bleeding a little. I'll keep an eye on it.
Problem fixed.

HI Everyone,

Today I woke up with worries. I'm not usually a "worrisome" person, so I need to pray harder I guess

The first day we moved here, I told you that my DH fell then went into major convulsions. His memory has been bad ever since. It has been over 2 weeks now (2 1/2 weeks). He can't even remember things that happend 3 days ago! He is suppose to see a neurologist and get a possible MRI and EGG done. WE have no insurance and I have been applying for something called "iowa cares" since we didn't qualify for medicaid do to assets which is a joke. In some ways, I want him to see the Neuro NOW, but in other ways we almost have to wait if want to be able to afford it. It could be a couple more weeks yet, or less... I just don't know. It's the waiting that is hard to do. My DH has been doing fine, just not remembering things. What would you do?
Plus... I have a thread in the woman's only section... so I am starting to have my own health worries, but hopefully that will take care of itself.

Got this email this AM about my brother:

quote:

C was taken to the hospital this morning. It is not serious, but it could not be taken care of at dialysis or in an office. Apparently he has a vein leading to his fistula (where the needles for dialysis go into him) that is bleeding. It must be torn or something. It needs to be repaired. There is not great concern, but pray that it is repaired quickly and effectively.

please pray for me...I am having pain in my kidney area again. I think it is another stone, but the doctor's office isn't willing to do an x-ray or sonogram to check it until I have "further symptoms".

Thank you all for your prayers...I can feel them! My kidney pain has relaxed and I am feeling much better. There are no signs of infection and no "other symptoms" so at this point I am enjoying the rest.

I KNOW that God has it all in His hands, whether this is just a respite or a complete healing. either way...it is a miracle that I very much needed.

Please keep a young expectant mother from my church in prayer. Her name is Jamie. She is pregnant with her third baby and a week ago today she was rushed to the hospital with what they thought were gallstones. They did all the exams and there are no gallstones. She is in a lot of pain, and she is running a fever and HER heart rate is very erratic. Baby's heartrate is fine. She is only 32 weeks pregnant...so while baby would survive if they have to go ahead and deliver, he is only about 3 pounds so they really want her to go a little longer. Just pray that whatever the source of this is will be healed.

Thanks!

I'd like to add my stepfather to this prayer request thread. He's 72 and has been living in Phnom Penh Cambodia for the last 4-5 years serving with some missionaries there. I received an e-mail from him on Friday saying that he had been rushed to a hospital in Bangkok Thailand awaiting tests. He had come down with what he thought was a cold/flu combo a couple of weeks ago and he never recovered and then he noticed that he had jaundiced skin and dark urine. He went to the local clinic and saw the doctor there who sent him to the hospital immediately. All of us here are worried. We have no way of contacting him and we haven't heard from him since that first e-mail on Friday. His wife is still in Cambodia and she has no way of contacting him either so we're guessing that she's extremely worried too.

Thank you.

Couple things:
Brandon is worse today than he was yesterday. I don't feel like I can afford to miss a day of work again, though. Please pray that he is comforted even without his mom

My friend who works with me, Darcie, her grandpa passed away last night. She's preggers and already emotional. Please pray for her family, some of whom are believers and some of whom are not.

Thanks.

If you could all pray for my friend Mary, I'd greatly appreciate it. She is really going through some stuff right now . . . her dad has a tumor on his kidney which will be removed on Nov. 13th. Her mom has Alzheimers, which has gotten significantly worse in the last couple of months. Her husband has not had a job for 2 months and hasn't had any luck finding one. She is running for the fiscal auditor position in her township, which would pay about $20 K per year that she desperately needs, and the election is next Wednesday. As if that weren't enough, her 20 year old daughter has what appears to be a tumor on her rib and will be going soon for xrays and tests.

She is very discouraged and is having a hard time trusting God even though she's usually pretty strong in that department. Please pray for encouragement and that she would really feel God's presence right now.

Thanks.

I have a lot going on lately. I haven't been feeling stressed because I am working hard at keeping focused on the school schedule, and that keeps me going. It makes things not feel stressful because I am still accomplishing what I need to and keeping up AND I would still have time to do stuff with the kids as well as other stuff. Yesterday didn't go so well so I am feeling it this morning. I am feeling VERY stressed... it is hard for me to get out of bed, I'm shaky, slightly neausaus, my chest feels heavy and I have to take deep breaths a lot.

What do I have to feel stressed about?

It is going on 9 weeks since the court hearing and we are still waiting for the decision.

Christmas is coming and we are tight financially.

Caleb has a surgery coming up on Thursday.

I have to have CAT scans and possibly surgery to remove that bump that we thought was a tooth abcess.

There is a family (a relative) that we care about very much whose marriage is in trouble, and there is nothing that we can do to help them.

There have been things that we have been working on that are like banging ones head against a brick wall.

I am trying to find time to help the kids with there circus and have it ready by Wednesday because they won't be able to do it after Caleb's surgery. They needed help making it runs smoothly.

I am constantly be given the message that I am not doing enough, and what I am doing is somehow optional which makes me feel like it is not important and I can't expect cooperation.

Yesterday ended on a sour note as I found house fairy dust in my bed with a note that said that "If your kids can't do it... you can't either." I think that it was meant to be a humorous nudge, but it wasn't. I almost cried.

Russ is going to have a meeting with the other adults. Please pray it goes well, and please pray for all the other stuff coming up and the other stresses.

I just received a phone call from zoebob who asked me to post a prayer request for her.

She was awake most of the night with pain in her neck and back (she thinks it is stress related) but it is hurting so badly and so tight that she is unable to sit at the computer.

She has taken hot showers and applied Ben Gay to the affected areas but is not getting much relief.

If you will, please stand with me in agreement for God to relieve this pain and also to remove the stress that is triggering the pain.

Thank you

Hi folks- I'd appreciate it if ya'll would remember our family in prayer, especially my firstborn Seth. He found out this morning that his unit is going to Iraq in February 2008, and obviously he has very mixed feelings about it. He is scared, but also knows this is good for his military career if he decides to stay in (which he is planning to re-enlist while he is in Iraq).

It is a strange feeling to hear your son bawling his head off on the phone at 7am, to know how lonely he feels, and afraid of what could happen. I can't give him hugs, or tell him that everything will be OK. All I could do was let him know that we love him and support him and will always be here for him.

I pray God protects him, that Seth will serve God with his whole heart wherever he is, and that he will come home to us in one piece. Thank you.

My niece has her custody hearing this afternoon (2:30pm EST). Prayers that the judge/magistrate would see what is truly best for my great-niece & that visitation/support and other details would be worked out. Also, my brother & SIL have taken out a loan to cover the lawyer expenses & are very worried about finances.

Well, nothing was really settled at the hearing. I only got 3rd hand info from my parents, so I don't know what was actually accomplished. They have another hearing scheduled for Dec. 17th - I'll post before that to remind you all to pray! Thanks for your prayers! Now, I'm just praying for peace for my brother & SIL (they are under stress & financial strain through all this) and for my niece & great-niece too!

I am starting today at my mom's school. This week I am only observing and getting used to the routine. Next week I teach. My kids are spending the half days we are there together in what would be their classroom if they were students. This is a Christian school and it's where DD tested last year and they will again this year.

My dh is still in pretty much pain from his back. Although, he said this morning the pain is different. The pain management Doctor is putting him in for an Urgent MRI (they hope to get him in today for it). They think he may have ruptured a disc or the fluid is leaking. He's going to work again today, so pray for the pain to be tolerable & them to be able to get him in for an MRI ASAP! I am praying that whatever they do for him because of this will give him some more long term relief.

Please pray for my mother....she is being a fool.

I hate to say that about anyone, but in this case it is true.

She was put on insulin in August. She refuses to buy it because she says she can't afford it. My dad is already on insulin. They pay out of pocket for it because she claims that no insurance will cover insulin, however...I just looked up insurance coverage in their state and Medicare D (which they both qualify for) IS REQUIRED in their state to cover the cost of INSULIN, not just the tools.

She is in denial over her diabetes. She won't admit she has it because she weighs well over 250 pounds, but there has to be some other reason, such as she has worked in a bakery for 29 years...being around all that sugar did it to her (which is contradictory at best from what medical science actually tells us!).

I am trying to communicate with her about her options...but not sure if I will do it right, or be patient with her.

I honestly believe that she is passively trying to commit suicide...and to be honest...she has been trying to passively do this for years (hence her weight and other health issues she has chosen to ignore to the point of death..then she panics and does something about them for a while...)

I am unable to say much, but please pray for my husband today. His job can be dangerous and today would rank up there as a very dangerous day. I'm wondering why they are doing what he is, but all I can do is pray. Please pray for Doug and his work companions to be held in the safety of the Lord.

My mom has been so up and down lately. She chewed out Fred all day long today for everything under the sun. This is not acceptable in our home and will need to be dealt with. I am going to talk to our victim's advocate that still works with her to try to get her some help. Part of the problem is that she needs to be taking her medication. I think that another part may be that it is the holidays.

Russ has reservations for a weekend getaway for just the two of us. We are seriously considering not going as we don't want the kids to be yelled while we are gone or for them to endure such tension while we are gone.

AS started to cry at one point today. She is really strapped financially, and there is so much that she can't do because of her legs and being blind in one eye. She feels like she can't do anything and has to rely on us all of the time in order to get anything done.

I am on day 4 or 5 without a voice.

I need my voice.

OH and Trill's kitty- Mr. Rogers... He got in a tussel with something outside a few days ago. He has a boo boo on front shoulder that is looking rather puffy. It is not hot or anything and he is still acting like himself but it worries me. Mr. Rogers just celebrated his 10th birthday. We do not know any trust worthy vets and i have no voice to actually CALL a vet. Jerry is of the mind set that it is a pet and it can fend for itself... He was raised in the sticks where animals were animals and usually that meant they were supper so you did not become attached to them.
