No, not an inappropriate question, just a private one.

Sure, however I wasn't offended at all. Besides most people know my age anyway, I just do not like associating it within the same post as my birthday though, for searching reasons no less.

Have you ever thought of a career in radio?

Yes, many times, but the State of the industry right now is so bleak that I would have to be crazy to consider a "career" in it right now. All the majors are laying people off left and right: Clear Channel, CBS, Entercom, and Citadel have all made major cuts recently. Unless I work for a small station part time, working in radio does not seem likely at all.

Hi Mike!

This may be the first time I've posted in here. But the radio-career thing piqued my interest. What you said about small-station-part-time - that sounds right up your alley. That way it could remain something you love.

I've heard of too many times people pursuing something they love to do as their livelihood, and it ceases to be their passion because they have to make it make their living.

Why is it that I have a hard time getting to bed before 4 AM? Then when I get to bed I have a hard time falling asleep. Am I crazy?

Thanks Pam, now if I can just figure out how to break into broadcasting?

No, not crazy, just that you are so tired that your adrenaline is running, and that keeps you awake!

Yes!

This is very sound advice. I know. I LOVED photography.... but I DIDN'T love owning a business, having the weight of having to work long hours to support other people's households... that was all quite a burden and took away the joy of the photography. I am enjoying it much more again now that it's not my livlihood anymore. (or anyone else's)

Well, you would have to define outrageous! One thing does come to mind but I am not gonna share that here at all.

Hi Deb, I like some of them, but I am not very big on them at all. I think I like the old architecture better instead.

I'm addicted to the Freedom Trail, and love taking all the tours. Of course, I'm from California, which doesn't have much history, so I really appreciate what we have here in Boston. It's a treasure-trove!
