What a great week!!! We averaged 6 miles a day inside the exhibit hall. This was the largest crowd ..... EVER!!! I'm really just checking to see if Santa and Pauls picture turned out!!

I really enjoyed the Kingsmen Quartet Sat. night. As well as all the artists that sang Fri and Sat night that we got to see. And we did have better seats Sat. night. Did have to move once because we did not have assigned seats. When you have an exhibitor's pass you sit where you can and if someone shows up that has tickets for that seat then you have to move. More empty seats on Sat. night. Almost full on Friday night. Heard the whole weeks attendance was up this year.

Almost forgot, as we were leaving Sat. night saw Ray Dean Reece as they were hooking a trailer to a bus (Kingmens bus I guess) and he saw me and came over and gave us both a hug and took us over to his car to introduce us to hs wife. Told her we had been praying for her. Sweet lady.

Wish I had been writing down names of those that we met. So instead of mentioning names and leaving off someone I will post as I think of something said by one of them. Lynn, met one of the midnight grannies or she called herself something like that, knew what she meant at the time, she said she posts occasionally but usually just reads.

Just a few words of explanation: The midnight grannies are several older ladies that get together from the Atlanta area to attend SG concerts! They are really a hoot and they go to quite a few concerts!!!! Some of the forums folks I met are: Donna Campbell, Aaron Swain, Robbie Maxwell, Paul Jackson, Daniel Mount, Charlie Sexton, Tanner Stahl, Heather Chappel, Gerald Wolfe (!), Pat Barker, Santa, Steve Eaton, Jeremy Peace, and a lurker named Diane from Ohio. I'm REALLLLLLLY disappointed that I missed seeing Brent Mitchell (yes, he used to post here a long time ago!).

I met one sweet lady by the name of Louise in LaGrange. She knew who I was and called me by name. Don't know if Bobby had told her who I was or what but I talked to her for a few minutes and told her to please join us any time.

Lynn she might have seen or met you last year at the Triumphant concert in Powder Springs. Think she was there. She attends most of our concerts (unless Joymasters or Singing Echoes are close by).

Again, wish I had wrote down names but this "midnight Grannie" was a sweet lady that introduced herself to me in the aisle of the concert hall. Maybe she will make a post.

I had a great time this year. Me and my Mom drove down and were there from Monday till Friday. I got to meet several posters here, Daniel Mount, David Murray, Dean Adkins, Seaton, Sony, JChaz, and a few others, i'm forgetting some folks. I got to talk to many of the artists and had a wonderful time. If you guys check out my myspace page, i posted a section of my pictures from Nqc 2008.

I hate I didn't get to see a lot of folks this year, I missed the forum gathering and a lot of other fun stuff. Erin was teething and had some congestion - Alicia hurt her knee on Wed so she was limbing the rest of the week. I guess all the last few months caught up with us both because on Thursday we didn't get out of bed until 2 pm!! (well we got up to feed Erin, then she went back to sleep and so did we) I didn't even make chapel with Mark Trammell if that tells you how exhausted we were!!!! But it was fun to see a lot of old friends and meet a few new ones. Next year we will try to do better on catching up with everyone!

Looks like we left Louisville just in time. They had some 70 mph winds and had quite a bit of damage there yesterday. We drove through some strong, gusty winds but it wasn't quite that bad!

Alicia and I got in a LOT of strong wind yesterday, at times it was hard to hold the van in the road. Glad we missed the worst of it.
