at the end Michael didn't seem so weird when he was explaining some of his philosophy to Jim.

I think Creed is becoming my favorite character though.

I read that they only have one more completed episode and then they will have to go off the air because of the Writer's strike. So no more Office unless that gets resolved some time soon.

Stanley complaining he took an extra shot of insulin just for the cake that wasn't there and they told him to eat an apple or something, and then he's like shut up and gave them a dirty look. You can't compare an apple with a piece of cake.

I read that they only have one more completed episode and then they will have to go off the air because of the Writer's strike. So no more Office unless that gets resolved some time soon.

The LA Times published the following email from Dale Alexander, a key grip on The Office, which puts the severity of this strike into clear perspective.

It reads:

“Our show was shut down and we were all laid off this week. I’ve been watching the news since the WGA strike was announced and I have yet to see any coverage dedicated to the effect that this strike will have on the below the line employees.

I respect the WGA’s position. They probably do deserve a larger percentage of profit participation, but a lengthy strike will affect more than just the writers and studios. On my show we had 14 writers. There were also 2 cameramen, 2 camera assistants, 4 hair stylists, 4 makeup artists, 7 wardrobe people, 4 grips, 4 electricians, 2 craft service, 4 props people, 6 construction, 1 medic, 3 art department, 5 set dressers, 3 sound men, 3 stand-ins, 2 set PAs, 4 assistant directors, 1 DGA trainee, 1 unit manager, 6 production office personnel, 3 casting people, 4 writers assistants, 1 script supervisor, 2 editors, 2 editors assistants, 3 post production personnel, 1 facilities manager, 8 drivers, 2 location managers, 3 accountants, 4 caterers and a producer who’s not a writer. All 102 of us are now out of work.

I have been in the motion picture business for 33 years and have survived three major strikes. None of which have been by any of the below the line unions. During the 1988 WGA strike many of my friends lost their homes, cars and even spouses. Many actors are publicly backing the writers, some have even said that they would find a way to help pay bills for the striking writers. When the networks run out of new shows and they air repeats the writers will be paid residuals. The lowest paid writer in television makes roughly twice the salary than the below the line crewmember makes. Everyone should be paid their fair share, but does it have to be at the expense of the other 90% of the crewmembers. Nobody ever recoups from a strike, lost wages are just that, lost.

We all know that the strike will be resolved. Eventually both sides will return to the bargaining table and make a deal. The only uncertainty is how many of our houses, livelihoods, college educations and retirement funds will pay for it.”

Thanks for sharing that Miasma. It's easy to get caught up in being upset that I won't see as many episodes of my favorite show and forget the real-life consequences of the strike.

My Dad actually does this too!

I really hope we have new episodes. With life being so crazy lately, The Office is the highlight of my week.

“If this strike lasts longer than three months, an entire season of television will end this December. No dramas. No comedies. No Daily Show. The strike will also prevent any pilots from being shot in the spring, so even if the strike is settled by then, you won’t see any new shows until the following January. As in 2009. Both the guild and the studios we are negotiating with do agree on one thing: this situation would be brutal.”

- Lost co-creator and head writer Damon Lindelof tells The New York Times

Maybe we'll all catch up on all those movies we've always wanted to see... or read all those novels we've always meant to read.

So tonight's episode is the last new one for a while... "SUE CRAZY IN THE OFFICE--Michael finds himself between a rock and a hard place when Jan sues Dunder Mifflin and Michael is deposed as a witness. Meanwhile, Kelly trash-talks Pam after Darryl beats Jim at ping-pong."

Okay... Michael Scott... under oath... talking about Jan...

I'm getting one of those Kevin smiles... oh yeah!

I loved how Jan talked about Michael being better at things than people think he is and then him turning against her in the deposition after the whole diary incident.

Have I missed something with Toby? Why does Michael hate him so much? I did LOVE Toby sitting there reading the diary and snickering.

I think Michael dislikes Toby for a number of reasons, among them being that Toby is the only one in the office that doesn't report to him, and therefore the only one who doesn't have to go along with his crazy antics. I think he's also a little afraid of turning into Toby. . .the sad, uptight monotone, divorced guy. I loved the scene where he shoves Toby's lunch tray off the table. I think he suddenly realized that he and Toby really do have something in common and it scared him to death.

The Office is officially over for the season. Michael's deposition was the 'finale' due to the strike. They were behind where they normally are in production due to the hour long episodes at the beginning of the season....so now they're done.

the new episode isn't actually on until next week. My name is Earl was new though

They are making a spinoff, hope it doesn't ruin the original show.

"not enough wine glasses" lol.

It was great because it's so true.. there have been some people that do have fights like that..liked how she took over his condo and he was sleeping on a little couch..I am like Pam, can we eat now?

the actress that plays angela is pregnant but they haven't worked that into the show..

When Michael saw that name Wendy last night and said hot and red haired Wendy...right there, I knew it was Wendy's - I was laughing so hard when he made that call and it was Wendy's.

I love, love, love The Office, but sometimes Michael is soooo annoying!! He was so mean to Pam's landlady!!
Jim's almost-proposal to Pam was pretty funny.
Andy needed smacked when they came back from their meeting about their parking spaces. Andy pretty much did nothing and says "I did it!" while Kevin is saying "We did it!".

LOVED that part :) Pretty much loved the whole episode.

I wasn't such a fan of the second to last one, the dinner party. I think Michael is getting tooooo annoying...

I was really disappointed with the dinner party episode. Definitely had The Office awkwardness down, but was seriously lacking in humor. I liked this week's episode a lot, though. I couldn't believe Dwight took Michael to get closure with the chair girl instead of with Jan

My husband did that to me. It's not nearly as funny in real life

I did like the dinner party episode part where Jim was telling everyone that he needed to leave because his apartment was flooded and when Pam couldn't go with him she said "You can just buy all new things" and ruined his chances of escaping!
