Well...he gave me his card...but of course that is for if I have any questions about the equipment. Hmmmm.....may be I could think of a bunch of questions to ask...like where's the on button....and then call the next day and ask where's the off button.

We should help you with more questions to ask .... hmmm ... how about, "Can you help me move this big heavy piece of equipment over there ... no wait, I like it in that corner better!?"

Hey, Karen. Oh, I'm sure you could come up with some great questions.

Veronica, are you sure you don't need to go back to his store? Like to get paper or something?

So, Gary, what kinds of questions should she ask?

Y'know, you could be really brave and just call to say you enjoyed chatting with him. You could even add that it's a shame that such a nice Christian guy is still single... then offer to fix that for him.

Ok, that's the lamest thing I've said all day. It's time for bed!!

It might have been lame, but it made me chuckle.

Okay...now I know there's some emoticons that are laughing...but I need one that's rolling all over the floor laughing to really give an accurate impression of how your suggestion hit me Michelle. Ha ha ha! That's good!

I did get asked for my phone number a few times but I'm pretty sure that was b/c they thought they could call me at home to get me to help them with their machine problems and not get charged for it.

You should've asked them if they were asking you out on a date. I'm sure if that wasn't their intentions, they would've been changing their tune pretty quick.

In some cases I hope they weren't asking me out (shuddering at the thought yet today).

CHALLENGE

Halloween is nearly here. It's that time of year when all the little ghouls and goblins come out, followed closely by their parents, aunts, uncles, and neighbors, to give a little scare. This is not the time for us singles to sit at home with our porch light off. No matter your feelings about halloween, all halloweds eve, or whatever you choose to call it, don't sit at home. Choose what you will do, and report back. Here are a few ideas:

* Volunteer for your church's Fall Festival. Maybe paint a few faces, work in the crafts booth, or even better, the dunking booth.

* Choose to take your neices, nephews, cousins, or neighbors kids trick-or-treating. You don't have to dress up unless you want to.

* Decorate your house, carve a pumkin, and pass out candy to all the little ghouls and goblins. Extra points if you let them scare you.

* If you're so inclined, go to a haunted house, fright-night, zoo-boo, or whatever your area has for fun-lovers (you should know the ones to avoid, and the ones to enjoy)

The point is to have good, clean FUN and interact with lots of other people.

I'll go for this one! Sounds fun. I'm trying to think of what kind of costume to wear this year. Last year I went out as a milkmaid. That was fun. I even wore my costume to work.

Okay, so here was my personal challenge:

quote:

Lisa, the challenge is this: You need to talk to at least one person, player or referee or coach, whom you do not know. And more than just "good game" though it can start that way. It has to be at least a couple of minutes. Of course, you're allowed to talk to those you know, and they may help you find someone new to talk to.

Well, I talked with one of the guys for nearly an hour. Does that count? And, he is someone I've never met before. We even exchanged email addresses. Now, with the ones I do know - got the email address of one of the players because I'm going to send him some pictures, and my referee friend was awesome - I'll be seeing him again next weekend. He just had his heart broken, so I'm doing my best to help him through this time.

Okay, I'm now off to bed seeing I have to be up in 5 hours for work. I know This will be checked when someone else wakes up.

Just thought of something else for one of the other challenges, I think......I ended up talking with another lady who was waiting for her husband - we were in the innards of the facility. Found out she's an artist and she was interested in my photography. We had a lovely conversation - turns out she's married to one of the big whigs for the team.

Okay, this was in my element - so it was natural for me to talk to these guys.
