It matters to him. Some people only want to listen to Christian music, that's their prerogative. I don't discriminate much between Christian and secular music in so far as listening habits go but I always want to know more about the artists I listen to and whether they are Christians or not is something I'd really like to know. Helps me understand where they are coming from lyrically. As far as the question goes, they are not "Christian" in any way that would be useful to someone who only wants to listen to Christian music. I don't know about their personal belief systems. However, I don't see much if anything from their latest CD "The Black Parade" that would be offensive or "unedifying" to a Christian. Indeed, it is about death, a subject Christians tend to think about (being a major part of our belief system). Their previous CD "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" is about a killing spree. Its nothing I find offensive (since its fiction and not an advocacy of those activities) but since I realize my sensibilities are not the benchmark for offensive statements I offer that little bit of info to help fellow Christians make a choice that is right for them. If someone really wanted to know they could do a lyric search online and check out reviews from places like Amazon and stuff. And there is always their personal website.
