LOL....sounds like us with the cat food and Jack. He likes it...thinks it is a yummy snack always in his reach...lol. He also likes to play in the water and then try to get the cats wet...lol.

Sounds like my Hannah when she was that age! Oh...it was such a fun bother!

Kath -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (11/28/2007 8:03:45 PM)

Dan used to like to drink the kitty water. [:'(] I had to keep a gate up all the time because of it.

My knee is doing better, thanks for asking Sarah. I get a twinge once in a while if I am laying down and bend it funny but otherwise much better. and my left knee has settled down too. I think some of it is because I use the cart to drive around the store. When I was presurgery it never occurred to me and I had a lot of trouble shopping with linz. I had to keep sitting down but I was always worried she'd be kidnapped if I couldn't see her. Now I can just drive next to her. It's kind of embarrassing when they die half way across the store though. [8|]

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (11/28/2007 9:27:37 PM)

that's good Kath. I always hated using those cart too, but have a few times when pregnant and on bed rest or couldn't physically walk. I generally don't like them though. I especially don't like it when certain people are on them. A few weeks ago we kept running into this whole group of rude people one of which was on one...they had about six kids running everywhere, three carts, and the motorized thingy with a mom on there that didn't care. After about the fourth row of having to deal with them (AND the other shoppers getting thanksgiving dinner stuff) I finally told Paul that we could go to the other side of the store and wait for a while until they were done...I was tired of being run over and pushed and nearly hit by every one of her precious kids that I wanted to strangle. Anyway....I am sure that isn't you though...you would never be that rude!!!!

Anyone mind telling me WHY God made three year olds want to change their clothes ten times a day????

Oh I remember those days. Linz loved her clothes and could never decide what to wear because they were all so beautiful!

I hope not! one time I hit someone's cart and apologized profusely. He asked what kind of insurance I had. [8|] The electric carts at Sams are really nice, they have a huge basket. At walmart I drive the cart but pull a regular cart behind me so I go early when I need alot. With all that I take up a lot of room!

PrincessDonna -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (11/28/2007 9:39:45 PM)

I've used those carts also, while waiting for surgery, after surgery, at the end of pregnancy when my pelvic separation is awful. I hate the looks I get on them, but honestly...people don't know looking at me that something is wrong with me. So I wish they would just keep their looks to themselves. If I don't do my grocery shopping, who else will?

Hannah doesn't change her clothes too much. She'd much rather run around in a shirt and undies. At least she finally insists on undies.[>:]

Let 'em look. :)

When I was potty training my oldest I just let him run around bare bottom. He would always go on his own that way but if I even put training pants on him he'd have an accident. It only took less than a few weeks.

What did you think of DWTS? I'm glad helio won, but I would have been ok with Mel. I was so surprised at how much Maks liked her, he usually seems so bored with the whole thing.

This some sort of girlie code? [&:]

I think there's a conspiracy here... Gonna have to alert Fritz to move this thread to the correct folder.[8D]

Ellie-Mae -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (11/29/2007 11:11:59 AM)

I wish the DWTS was just a girly thing. Everyone that is anyone is talking about it. I am just a nobody, I guess. [;)]

Wanna let me in on the secret code now or do I have to buy the decoder ring?

LOL......
Dancing With The Stars....I was glad Helio won. I think Mel was good, but she didn't dazzle me last week...plus she was already a good dancer when the contest started...he came so much further in the competition. I like Marie, but was glad she didn't win....she really can't get fluid movements very well.
Lisa...this is really the first season of it I have watched...and I didn't start til about the fifth show

Lisa, you are too funny and mean!!!

Gonna have to go buy that ring now....

Or else find the Morse code translater.[8D]

Dancing with the stars. Is that a moonlight dance in a pavilion? Is Helio some distant star in the heavens? Mel and Marie, didn't they have a radio show in the 30's? There are now more than four seasons in a year?[&:]

You women folk are strange....[8|]

<shakes the cereal out into the bowl>

No decoder ring in that one!

Is that your defense? [;)]

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (11/30/2007 10:18:54 AM)

today is payday and it is pretty much already spent...yay. OH WHY can't they figure out this pay thing and give us the back pay they owe use!!!! WHY does the government have to be so hard!!!!!

I didn't sleep too well last night...my back has been hurting all week long and I think it's from not sleeping well. I can no longer sleep in the most comfortable position for me...on my stomach. I hate that. Hubby keeps saying he is going to clean out the bathtub so I can soak but he hasn't yet. I can't because I can't use bleach (allergic to it)...and it MUST be bleached. The toilet backs up into the tub...so we had to stop using that bathroom until we can afford the horrendous prices of a plumber to come and look at it. ANYWAY...hopefully he will do that this weekend so that at least I can take a bath and give the kids baths. Do you have any clue how hard it is to get an almost 3yo who hates water to take a shower?....yeah....not fun. The baby can use the kitchen sink still...which is good...better then having to bend over the tub anyway...and the two older ones love showers...but the third one had to take after me and my dad and his mom, etc, and have the biggest fear of water. She literally gets to where she will throw up or can't breathe just over having to wash up. We wash her hair in the kitchen sink...lay her on the counter and put her head over the sink (I do her older sister that way too)...and it takes two adults to accomplish that one....one to hold her there, and one to wash her hair. She REALLY hates water. Last year the best we could get her to do with the pool was stick her feet in while sitting on the side...and if anyone splashed her you would have thought the world was coming to an end...lol. BOY OH BOY am I getting paid back with that one...now I know why my mom made me take swimming lessons!!!

Kath -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (11/30/2007 8:07:31 PM)

Sarah, I really hope you feel better after the soak. Do you have a heating pad?

Ellie-Mae -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (11/30/2007 8:43:04 PM)

Kids who hate showers:

I had a shower that could move. I put a round tub (the kind that you see at partys with soda and ice in them. A bin might do too), then I put bubble bath in it and put the shower head in it. the kids loved sitting in their bucket of bubbles and play with the shower head. You can also just have the bucket fill up from a shower on the wall and then let them get in AFTER.

MamaMilty -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (12/1/2007 4:52:48 PM)

Hey Sarah!![sm=hug.gif]

I didn't even know this place existed! So this is where the cool kids hang out!

I feel your pain on the hair washing thing. My Jackson decided he hated shampoos the second he turned to 3. We only do it about once a week and boy is it a treat. We're not very nice about it anymore, its more of a grin and bare it, kid, 'cuz its happening no matter what, how do you want to do it, the hard way or the easy way...I'm still waiting for him pick the easy way, LOL.

I couldn't eat red sauce while nursing Tanner or during Riley's pregnancy. Do you like white sauce? I just sub'd it in any recipe. I don't love lots of garlic anyway, so I was okay there. My biggest hurdle was raw meat, any kind [:'(][:'(][:'(] and [:'(]

For your back, try laying flat on your back (no pillow under your head) and bend your knees up enough to flaten the small of your back onto the mattress and put pillows under your calves to let them relax onto them. This really helps me.

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (12/1/2007 9:10:44 PM)

thanks for joining the crowd Jen!!!

yeah meat in general is not something that i can handle much of even when not pregnant. I will say though that with my two girls pregnancies I was much more sick with it then I was with my two boys pregnancies. I was also more sick in general with the girls (I always said it must have been from all thoes female hormones...lol). So that's my non-official way of finding out if it's a boy or girl....think it will work? LOL.

I was able to wash the girls hair today...boy oh boy. I haven been avoiding that one for too long this week...so they were both a huge chore. Hopefully now they will stay clean...too bad they can't live with shower caps over their hair...lol

Bringing you back up to the top, lady!

So, how is your monday so far?? How do your green couches look with all of your deco's? What size is Jack getting into, maybe by boys' can send him what they have outgrown? Do you all watch the secular cartoon Christmas specials like Mickey, Shrek, Charlie, etc?

ttfn! Jen

peculiar_lady2 -> RE: The Daily Dribble.... (12/3/2007 9:34:52 AM)

lol.....i am tired...it's too early to be up already...been up for the past hour. I hate not being able to sleep comfortably.

jack is in about 12 months on average...some 9 months still...and some onesies that are 6 months (t-shirt ones that stretch a little). He can still wear the flannels he wore last winter in Germany...lol.

we didn't ever finish decorating this weekend like i wanted to do...i was too tired to fight about getting up and not being lazy

how is everyone else's monday going?
