I loved this 'twist'. It takes the story of helping the elderly lady, and the idea of "Whatever you do unto the least of these, you have done unto me", and brings it full-circle to what Jesus has done for us. [:)]

You have a smart daughter there[;)]

Hey Fritz,
Just a note to let you know that I enjoy reading your blog. It's very inspirational and gets me to thinking about how I can better apply God's Word in my life. Keep up the good work!

Melissa

Thanks MyCat!!!!

When we fall we get back up and continue to run the race as though despite our failure we were still in the lead because despite our fall we are still "more than conquerors through him who loved us…" (See Romans 8:37.)

I needed to hear that. [sm=icon_smile_shy.gif]

Thanks Ray...

I sometimes re-read this stuff and think who in the world could have said something so brilliant... certainly not me.

Giving God the glory,

Fritz

rayofson -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (1/11/2008 10:54:11 AM)

That's the thing. You write something, and you never know who God's gonna bless with it.

Amen to that my friend.

Qtman -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (1/11/2008 2:48:40 PM)

I haven't had time to read all of them yet but I am working on it. I do like what I have read so far.

agapetos -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (1/31/2008 5:48:53 AM)

Regarding 'A Nickel's Worth'...

You may be able to mess with their minds... but as I read this, I thought back to 'They call them black walnuts for a reason' and think that God is perhaps messing with your mind a little too sometimes[;)][:D]

Ha! You got that right and I just know I give Him plenty of laughs.

armydude -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (1/31/2008 10:38:42 AM)

I can picture it. "Doesn't he know that thing will stain his hands?"

"Nope."

"Should I tell him?"

"He'll figure it out."[:D]

I know. I have an overactive imagination.[;)]

MyCatSmokey2006 -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (1/31/2008 12:18:07 PM)

I like your blog, Fritz, especially the stone and "dirty money" devotionals. They remind me that not only do I need to focus on the needs of others, but the latter one reminds me of the vision Peter had of the sheet of unclean animals and learning not to call men common or unclean. By collecting "dirty money" for homeless shelters and other needy people, we extend to them God's grace and let them know that even though society considers them to be trash, they are special in God's eyes.

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (1/31/2008 12:24:56 PM)

Thanks!

I had fun writing the Nickel one.

Roberta_ -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (1/31/2008 5:01:53 PM)

The Nickol one reminded me of a story one of our elders told one Sunday before the offering was taken.

Back in the '50s or so a family went to church. On the way home there was the usual complaining about the sermon, the seating, the church building, the choir, the organist, etc. A little boy in the back seat popped up and said "Yeah, but where else can the whole family go and only spend five cents?" [:)]

Great work Fritz!

I have to say something about your latest blog. Thank you. You have hit the nail on the head so to speak.

Fritz, it's good to see your devotional thoughts and challenges again. You're good at it. Thank you for pointing us to them with this thread and to those devotionals of your fellow editors, of which I need to catch up on yet.

Oh, and I want to add that it was really neat reading your dad's input in the one about him sharing his breathing mask.

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (2/25/2008 12:27:44 PM)

Thanks Awed!

Yeah, it was neat to be able to include that in one of the devotionals.

MyCatSmokey2006 -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (3/15/2008 11:47:43 AM)

Fritz,
Thank you for reminding me why I need to memorize Scripture and fill my mind with Phillippian 4:8 thoughts instead of the stains of sin! [:)]

rayofson -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (3/16/2008 4:12:15 PM)

You know it's great to be able to search scripture on the internet and be able to quickly find the passage that's on your mind, or even to search on scriptures based on a topic, etc. The downside of that is that the internet isn't always at hand. It kinda takes away something from having chapter-and-verse stained into your brain.

MyCatSmokey2006 -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (4/14/2008 11:00:29 PM)

Hey Fritz, I liked your tax day devotional! It was very inspiring and uplifting, especially the Tax Poem. I've emailed the poem to family members who'd appreciate it.

Fritzpw_Admin -> RE: On the Fritz Comments (4/15/2008 10:38:38 AM)

Thanks!

It was an old one I had written when I first started. I re-wrote it for the Crosswalk Devotional.

Hope you have a wonderful week!
