I was afraid Hurley was going to burn Jacob's cabin down. Whose eye was looking back at him ?

Was the patch eye guy the one that pushes on the glass water pours into the jail interview room ?

When the so called Oceanic lawyer visits Hurley there is a chalk drawing of a palm tree, shark on the chalkboard.


I assumed it was Locke looking out the cabin door but something I read yesterday in Lostpedia said it was Jacob.

I think Hurley saw Charlie in his hallucination in the jail interview room. I don't think it showed a face, but when the series first started Charlie often wore a hooded sweatshirt, which is what the swimmer had on.

I didn't notice the drawing. So many details in this show, and I think every one of them means something.

I only saw the drawing while watching online for a 2nd time. Hoping to see the commercial w/Sawyer, but it was just an Excedrin one.

I'm not sure if you are talking about the commercial I talked about but it was a little over half way through the season finale shown on wednesday night.

I thought at first it was Patchy, but I read somewhere online that it was actually Charlie.

That's interesting, though I wonder if it is Sawyer, why wouldn't Kate have shown up, especially if she had his baby (I agree with your theory on that one)

I keep thinking the person in the casket is Ben but I wonder why he would have left the island.

As for Jack making references to his dad in the flash forward....I never thought about that!

What if the person in the casket is someone we have not seen yet- maybe a future cast that will make an impact on Jack's life.

Oh, if they pull a "dream" thing, I'm going to be sooooo mad! Someone suggested last yr on this forum, that the ending will be Hurley waking up, and he tells his mom that he dreamed he won the lottery and was in a plane crash, and spent the next few months on an island with a bunch of misfits. His mom says, "Get up, you're late for work." They better not have it all be someone's dream, that theme has been overworked! Remember Dallas, St. Elsewhere, and The Newhart Show. But I think Newhart was the best one of the three. There may have been more shows that ended as a dream, but I can't recall right now.

I believe the camera staying on the picture of the German shepherd is a clue as to who is in the chair at the cabin.....Christian SHEPHERD. Last season for a second you could see Jacob. We looked it over and it looked like Locke! So this is getting weirder....

Anyway, Jack asked Hurley during the basketball scene if he'd "told anyone". I believe Hurley did not tell the cop about Anna Lucia because they all had a pact not to tell anything about the island or the events on it.

I believe the "he" that Kate refers to is her son.

I also believe Ben may be dead right this time.

Now, do you remember the big deal that Ben made out of the fact that Locke communicated with Jacob? That made him special, and a threat. Well, supposedly Hurley saw Jacob! So, is Hurley also a threat to Ben?

You're probably right. With the obvious exception of Locke, I can never remember anyone's last name, so this connection never occurred to me.

We paused it on the dog picture and it didn't look like a German Shepard, but a Bassett Hound...either way they did focus on it for a bit.

Now I'm starting to wonder if maybe the guy in the casket was Locke. He didn't have any family in real life, and Jack and Kate obviously didn't like him.

I ended up reading some spoilers on the Lostpedia site (that wasn't one of them though)...funny while it does give some stuff away that we'll just find out in the next few episodes anyway, it just leaves you more confused.

I love this show!!! I love something that will have me trying to figure it out for years and then when it ends I find out I was completely wrong about everything!

I don't know why Christian Shepard would be Jacob. It's my understanding thaqt Jacob has been around a lot longer tan Christian. He was in Austrailia until he did, then Jack was bringing his body back on the plane. So how could he be Jacob? Unless "Jacob" changes every few months.

Interesting thing on Lostpeia: They have a long list of the Biblical references to Jacob. I thot it was intyeresting to remember that Juliette's ister was Rachael, and that Rachael was also Jacob's favorite wife, so why wouldn't he heal her cancer if he could? Also, that got me to thinking about Ben. Benjamin was also Rachael's son, and as such was Jacob's second favorite, after Joseph. Does anyone know if there was a leader b4 Ben named Joe? I don't pay close enuf attn to recall it myself, if it ever was known.

I don't know either, but it was definitely him in the chair this time. It did not look like him when Locke saw him.

In general I agree. If it was a new episode, it would have annoyed me to no end. The only reason I could tolerate it was b/c I had actually seen the episode before and was watching for a refresher.



Starting next week, they will do the enhanced rerun first, then the new episode after that.
