Just figured out that Jeff blue eyes Fahey is the pilot. Didn't recognize him with all the facial follicles.

I somehow don't think they would have bothered making a big deal out of revealing his name at the end of the episode if he wasn't the Aaron we already know. Besides, he looked just like Claire.

hmm ok, but you can never rule anything out with this show :) Sawyer does have blonde type hair. And my mum and dad are both dark but I am red

Probably! And I wonder what's happening to Michael and Tall Walt.

Do you suppose that somehow Ben has figured out how to travel without the effects that Desmond was experiencing? Maybe that is whay Miles said "we know who you are and what you can do" (rough quote).
Well, Faraday said being exposed to radiation or electro-magnetism affected it. So maybe either Ben hasn't or has found a way to shield against the effects.

So, I'm wondering all of a sudden: Has Miles been standing there all this time with a grenade for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast?
I kind of felt sorry for poor little Eloise; even though she was a rat, she was a cute smart rat.

Yes!! I was SO glad. For a minute I thought Desmond would die. It wouldn't be surprising considering how many other major characters have been killed off in this show. But when he finally got to talk to Penny and they said they still loved each other ... WOW! A tear-jerker and the perfect way to end the episode!

We re-watched this week's episode again tonight with my son and his girlfriend, who hadn't been able to see it Thursday. When Penny's father and Desmond were talking in the restroom, Desmond asked ,"Why do you hate me?" and Penny's father replied, "I'm not the one who hates you." Do you think he was talking about Penny hating Desmond? Or someone else?
I don't know if I would say that Penny hated him -- she was hurt and angry but I think she still loved him even then. But there has been speculation in the past that Widmore was responsible for Desmond getting marooned on the island, that he somehow knew about it and maneuvered the boat race so Des would be in the right spot, and it was thought that was done to keep him away from Penny. But could Widmore himself be working for someone else who hates Desmond??

I'm surprised no one mentioned the painting of the Black Rock, the ship that ended up on the island. And that the diary was an ancestor of Hanso. I know it has to tie into Widmore somehow but so far I can't figure out how.

Widmore Industries has offices in the Hanso Corporation bldg. That is the only tie I know of, and I don't think it has been mentioned on the show, but it was part of the Lost (online) experience game thing.

Thanks! I know I've heard a lot about Hanso online but I couldn't remember if anything was said about it on the show. All I could remember is Dharma which I assume Hanso funded.

So Penny's Dad is the freighter owner and Ben had Desmond so wouldn't Ben find out Desmond's connection to him, since Ben seems to know all the backgrounds? Or am I missing something?
Guy in the freighter next week episode that we're suppose to be surprise, I'm guessing it's Michael.
