So are we pretty firm on the weekend for this now? I am seriusly thinking about coming but i have two other trips that i am taking. The florida trip i think i will be ok on date wise but due to some unforseen circumstances the dates on my Italy trip had to be changed and i am trying to fit everything in. If we are sure about the dates for this i can schedual around it.

In reality, that was probably a lot of people still hyped up over the last GT.
The logistics of "chasing" are mind-boggling, AND, it requires sitting around all day in a car. Is that REALLY what people want for a GT? I don't think so. A GT is for a lot of people to spend time together hanging out and having fun. To me, driving around with only a couple people in a series of cars just defeats the purpose of a GT.
Does that make sense?
If people want to do it - that's great - I won't be participating - this one is the one I'll be attending - again.

Lisa is correct. The Indiana GT will be more relaxing for everyone.
I was the one who started the storm chasing idea and I just tossed that out to get people thinking about a singles GT for 2008. The idea of spending Saturday on the lake will be as enjoyable as it sounds. And there were people who were leary of storm chasing. This idea should make them more willing to come.

on the super-toon.
It rents for 425 per day (9-5), seat 30.
That would be:
People-----------cost
30----------------14.17
25----------------17.00
20----------------21.25
15----------------28.33
10----------------42.50
less than 10-----ouch
I've not reserved it yet as I don't know their cancellation policies yet. Once I find them out I'll get the boat reserved for that day.
Can we start getting a list of attendees together so we can figure out how much boat we need. (I'll be there)

I'll pray about coming. Last year, I asked God's will and He said, "no". And the day I would have been driving to IN, my vehicle broke. In fact, it did so twice that weekend, as I recall. Towing was involved both times. So - barring a 2nd annual vehicle repair, and getting the green light from God, I'd like to come.

We can do that when we're not in the same location. Why would being physically together be different?
After all, I am a woman who lives alone ... with 30,000 words a day, and 20,000 that often don't get used. Is there any doubt for an all night talkathon given the chance?

Mike, she wasn't at it last year. This was done another time. It wasn't all night - only until 2ish or so.

Just nailing down the dates so people can schedule the time in.
We will be doing the GT June 6th through June 8th. With the 7th being spent mostly on the lake.

So I know what dates to book then. I just have to wait for a good fare on the airlines because it will not come cheap otherwise. I got away with $230 or so far last year. Right now they are running about $350.
