Ladies and Gents, welcome to the Official 2008 Chat and Weather thread Café. The previous thread is here: http://www.faithcommunitynetwork.com/fb.aspx?m=2973291

Here you can lay your hat and chat about whatever and among other things, the weather!

Enjoy!

Mike

Hi Mike,

So I can talk about more than just the weather?

This morning I went outside and it was snowing. The streets were covered and a good showering of snow was coming down which excited me because I thought, "Great, FINALLY, a real snow." But 10 minutes later it stopped. BooHoo. I miss snow.

Ginny

Hi Ginny, yes we can all talk about other than weather, however weather will be among the central themes of this thread though, as to keep it in the community folder.

I keep the weather report as part of my homepage on igoogle...it's not always right, but close enough.
Approx 90 for today and tomorrow and then getting back up to 100+ for the weekend. Ah, I love summer.

We're supposed to get a 'hard freeze' tonight...the weather guys were saying to set the outside faucets to drip to prevent pipes freezing. I always think it's kinda funny, because it's doubtful that it will be below freezing for more than a couple hours, but whatever.

I'm almost, but not quite, ready for summer now. I hate having cold feet, but I love to be able to step outside to cool off.

Great new thread, Mike!
The weather is pretty mild here. I have only worn my thick winter coat twice so far. I didn't wear a sweater till the week before Christmas.

Hey, Mike!! It's going to be in the upper 30's tonight, maybe lower 30's, but we're having a hard freeze Thursday morning with temperatures in the teens!!

Actually, I love the cold weather... we don't get it very often.

Hi to all!

It has been soo-ooo cold here in Wyoming that we haven't seen anything except brrrrr for a very long time. Oh during the day I think the temp went up to 15, one day....
Most of the time it has been zero and below.

I did check my trusty "National Weather Service" this morning and we may be warming up Friday ~~~ all the way up to 32!

Today: Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 20. Wind chill values as low as -18.

All together: BRRRRRRR!!

Brrrrr April

Hi Mike, thanks for the new thread!
Woke up to 5 degrees this morning. Not sure what the wind chill was. It's sunny right now with a 11 degree temp. Have about 12" of snow on the ground. But this week-end we are suppose to have a wonderful warm-up. Might even reach 50 degrees Monday

It was 2º here this morning, and my apartment was cold! Not too cold mind you, just hovering around 60º instead.

It was below zero today with the wind-chill as well! I had my hat, gloves and scarf, nothing matched however. It is supposed to warm up back into the 30's by the weekend.

It was somewhere in the 20's this morning. I don't have a good thermometer to know just how cold it got here, but I do know it had to be wrong.

It was nice and "brisk" all day, and I got to spend a fair amount of time outside and didn't even use the coat except once. I LOVED it. But now that I'm inside, I turned up the heater.

Hiya April, Barb abd Michelle!

Yes, I heard that it was quite cold in Florida. Good thing I didn't plan a trip there yet!

Oh, I'm sure we had a few visitors who were disappointed in the cold weather. Every time it gets cold, we have someone who was here to escape the cold weather. The good news is, the weekends are usually warm and dry this year, so don't be deterred.

The airlines are having a sale as usual, fairly cheap fares to Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. They are a little higher for such places as Tampa though.

You should see the weather here today. It is pouring rain and gusting wind. Later the rain is supposed to turn into snow. I am scared to go outside.

WOW PC, I hate windy gusty rainy days!

Hi Lynn, and welcome to the weather thread! You must have consistent weather where you are, eh?
