Stormy weather here tonight! I'm off to bed HOPING that it will be a relatively calm night in which I'm NOT rudely awakened by our emergency weather radio!

Blessings,

Garsy

amymelissa -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (5/31/2008 6:32:19 AM)

We've had the most gorgeous weather the last week. I went away on holidays and it only rained 1 day out of 7...the rest were sunny and mid-twenties (*C)

garsyt -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (6/5/2008 11:01:34 AM)

Hot, hot, HOT here today! And it's only 11 am. Humid too! Going to get into the mid 90's today.

We turned on our air conditioning today for the first time.

Blessings,

Garsy

Beautiful weather at the moment, meant to be showers this weekend. Bad weather on Wednesday though. International flights were diverted from the Melbourne airport to Adelaide (1 1/2 hr flight) because of the amount of fog at the Melbourne airport. Was only foggy in the hills around Adelaide, not near the airport.

Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be almost 90.If our pool isn't completely ready to go in by than I'm gonna scream lol. My dad says it probably will be though so I am hoping he is right.

garsyt -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (6/6/2008 1:03:54 PM)

The weather guys are predicting 90 degree weather before noon tomorrow!

My little guy's soccer team NEEDS ice cream for a treat after the game and LOTS of water during the game!

Blessings,

Garsy

Had some NASTY storms come through last night. But luckily they were very fast moving! If they were any slower we could have had A LOT of damage in the area. There were reports of a couple tornados just north of us by about 10 miles and I guess another one or two just over the border in Ohio. Lots of branches down all over town and folks had to drag the soccer nets back into place this morning for soccer games.

Blessings,

Garsy

Indiana really got hit hard! We were worried at the GT that we would have to find another way home instead!

garsyt -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (6/9/2008 1:13:57 PM)

South of Indianapolis got hit worse then the northern part of the state! Down by Terra Haute - near Consecrated2God's home it's really bad. And it's not looking good as there are forecasts for more rain.

Blessings,

Garsy

We were South of Indy, and what we saw on the way back did not look good at all!

amymelissa -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (6/9/2008 10:18:44 PM)

I heard the weather report this morning for the week. I don't think I heard above 17*C (62*F). 15*C was about the average all week.

sunshine4God -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (6/10/2008 12:07:39 AM)

It was nearly 100 degrees today.I spent hrs in the pool.It was lots of fun.

garsyt -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (6/10/2008 8:10:52 AM)

More rain through the night. It's suppose to stop by this afternoon tho and return to normal temps for a few days. No rain in the forecast until Friday night - just in time for soccer games Saturday morning![8|]

The little creek down the road is about to overflow it's banks, but I don't think it will. The next town over still has about 9000 customers without power. Many traffic lights out all over the place! Some businesses are even telling people not to report to work - at least first shift.

One thing that all this rain is helping is my zucchinni plants! OH my have they gotten HUGE over the last few days! I'm expecting a great crop come August!!!!

Blessings,

Garsy

Its been very hot here during this past weekend, however I did miss it as I was away though. Today was quite muggy and hot though. They say that this will all break by morning.

humbleinspirit -> RE: The Official 2008 All Inclusive Weather & Chat Thread Café (6/10/2008 11:43:18 PM)

Praise God! I was feeling exhausted walking around in the sun all day! [sm=icon_smile_faint.gif]

It was hot and humid this past week-end and we had lots of storms rolling through. Twisters were spotted all around us and we got 9" of rain from all them storms! We have things flooding around all over the place.
Roads are closed down in many area's The lake I live on is over the bank right now. My pier is under water. Have it tied down to my tree's. My road is flooded with water..but you can still go through. The road up the street from me had to park in the higher area, and take a boat back to their house even! It was chest high waters going over their road. My son went fishing last night, and was fishing right in the middle of the street! Caught alot of bullheads and carp. The farmlands are flooded. And north of us the folks lost three homes. They went right into the lake. And the whole lake washed into the Wiconsin river. Yup..they lost the entire lake!! I just can't beleive this weather. More rain is expected tomorrow. About an inch or more.

As I look out the window now I see that it is very overcast and a bit windy. I heard that there are meant to be thunderstorms in the next couple days.
