I heard a rumor that it actually does snow in Seattle sometimes.

The Cape got a snowstorm today, but things were ok in my neck of the woods though. We have another storm coming by midweek, however it will be all rain, which I welcome.

We're in for a snow storm later on today so look out! I wish it would just freeze because I hate checking the dogs feet every time he comes in.

Yep! Hey Deb let me know when it starts snowing in your neck of the woods! I expect that a few hours after it hits Northern IL, it will hit Northern Indiana! I guess the winds are supposed to get nasty too.

Well I need to run, get some errands taken care of so I can stay home later! I'm guessing there will be at least delays tomorrow for the kiddos if we get what is predicted.

Blessings,

Garsy

Another dreary ucky day in FLorida. *sigh*

I am going to Wal Mart later so maybe that will cheer me up. My son is buying a birthday present for his friend with his own money and he's real excited about it.

Snowing heavily here all day! Blizzard-like conditions. The town appears to be pretty much shut down. Schools closed. I am in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in Calif. We have had rain and snow almost for a month now. I'm about an hour down the mountain from Lake Tahoe. As of yesterday, before this storm hit, at the bottom of the ski lifts there is already 90" of snow pack

Really low snow levels today - down to about 1,000'

I fear about flooding in the valleys...

Hey thanks Deb! It's getting nasty here now. No snow yet but gracious the winds are horrible and it's raining! The temps have dropped here too and are supposed to continue to drop overnight.

YUCK!

Garsy

No snow here. It's getting up into the mid-70's today, but we should have a cold-front come through today. It should be a frigid 74 degrees tomorrow.

Can y'all send me some cold weather? Pretty Please?

Me thinks Grace needs to go vist Maggie! That'll fix your need for some cold weather and likely sending you home very thankful for those beautiful 70's!

yep Deb. Once again you'll get hit before we do. I guess they are calling for 4-10 inches of the white stuff. It was a crazy day at school today because of all the talk of bad weather. Parents and staff are getting ready for a big fundraiser for a beloved teacher whose daughter is facing her second fight with breast cancer (at the very young age of 22). So in hopes to get everything out with the kids today in case there is no school tomorrow we were really running the copiers hard as well as the staplers! But we managed to get all that info out except to our morning kindergarteners, so that's less then 35 families that will be out of the loop until Monday. Theres roughly 40 kids between the 2 morning kindergarten classes and some of those kids do have older siblings that will be bringing home the same information.

Anyway - Back to the weather. Right now it's not too bad. I guess it's supposed to hit here after 10PM tonight.

Actually, I've been known to drive North just to see snow and cooler weather. Though I can't say I've seen -54 degree weather!! Yikes.

"Blame it on the rain, yeah-yeah"

Yup. It's raining here.
77°F
Wind: E at 21 mph
Humidity: 58%

I saw a very large arch of a rainbow this morning....and it was still raining. I love rainbows.

We got snow and lots of it! I really don't mind the snow all that much really except if I have to drive in to much in it! In our county alone we saw anywhere from 4-10 inches, with the northern parts of the county posting the larger snow totals. We got roughly 6 inches in spots but it was also windy so it's drifted deeper in spots and other spots we can still see grass.

Blessings,

Garsy

*sigh* I miss snow. I think it's going to be another sunny day which is odd because it was real nice and sunny yesterday and then last night was a heck of a storm. Now it's real nice and sunny again. Oy. I thought hurricane season was over.

Hi there Joy, and thank you for stopping by and joining the weather thread! This thread started as a tradition over 5 years ago when Boston had a 78º+ day in the middle of December. It was just another thread that I started that day, but it ended up taking on a life of its own! And the rest as they say is history!
