Well Ray, I thought you had a lot of green.

(Ray fires up the snow-blower. The garage fills with wafts of light smoke as the engine warms up.)[;)]

Cough! Hack!

(Denny's eyes are burning) Ah, but that's a pleasant smell anyway. [:)]

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/2/2008 12:29:45 AM)

Whoa, we need more fire wood, it's freggin cold out thar! Get the coats on and get an arm load....

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/2/2008 10:34:32 AM)

Got home last night and a neighbor had snow-blowed my driveway. [sm=heart.gif]

But I thought of two other neighbors whose driveways weren't done yet. When the wife asked where I was going, I said that I was going to spend some quality time with my snowblower. [8D]

Yeah, we've got plenty of firewood out there. There's about two full cords split and under a tarp. And there's another eight or ten cords that need split. Anybody need some exercize? I'm sure there's an axe...er...I mean splitting maul around here somewhere. (Actually I usually use a sledge hammer and wedges>).[sm=yummy.gif]

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/2/2008 11:34:36 AM)

Dang Ray, you need to spend $$$$ on a log splitter rather than a mower. Go in with your neighbor and get a good one, that's what we did. $1,500 between 3 neighbors, and we have wood splitting parties.

BlackCapnHarlock -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/2/2008 11:49:33 AM)

My snow thrower stunk yesterday!!! I had to pull the shovel out on some parts. It's good on the powdery real cold and light snow. But the heavy wet stuff, it couldn't move to save it's life.

Just disappointed in it.

I need a more powerful one, but we plan on moving down south where I won't need one again. Right now I live outside of Detroit, MI.

My son-in-law has been very helpful. [;)]

Howdy neighbor! [:)]

Yeah, the snowblower won't pump out the slush very well.

Oh oh, I see the fire has gone out.

(Denny gets a load of wood from out back and starts another roaring fire in the stove)

Well, I see the only thing left in the fridge is Spicy V-8. [:)] Think I'll have some popcorn and a V-8. [:)]

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/5/2008 10:34:34 AM)

Now there's a combination...tabasco infused popcorn and spicy V8 to wash it down. [sm=fireanger.gif][:D]

Ah, good and so good for you! [:)] Keeps ya regular too!

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/6/2008 10:39:30 AM)

As long as you don't mind the 'after-burn'. [sm=angertalk.gif][sm=icon_smile_blush.gif]

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/6/2008 10:42:22 AM)

It's warmed up here enough that we're getting rain instead of snow. Everything's melted off, but the ground is still froze and the water is really making a mess of things. Days like these are when my sump pump is trying to pump down Lake Erie. [8|]

preachervern -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/6/2008 4:10:28 PM)

You guys keep all that snow, I take the 70s any day. like to day.

Ya just had to rub it in, didn't you?

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/6/2008 11:27:50 PM)

Was 70 here yesterday, but in the wee hours of the AM we had horrible storms and tornadoes near by. Getting cold again, from A/C to heat in the same day... but glad the rough stuff is gone.

*gets a stick to poke in the fire, burns knuckle hair off, and tosses in a Black Cat to watch everyone jump. POP! [:D]

Yep, our warm spell is over now. Another 3 months of winter I spose. Got any more of those cats we can put in the fire? [:)]

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/7/2008 11:07:34 AM)

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/7/2008 12:44:44 PM)

he hee heeee[sm=cooltilt.gif] Fresh cut bamboo is fun too... but sounds more like a shotgun, BOOM. [sm=icon_smile_evil.gif]

rayofson -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/7/2008 2:07:40 PM)

Bamboo? [:D]

APZR -> RE: The Garage-come on in (2/7/2008 2:34:02 PM)

Try it. Get a big FAT green stalk and cut it so that you have a section between the rings uncut. It takes a couple of minutes, just when everyone is backed up to the camp fire and warming their buns.... BOOM!!! [:D][:D][:D]

My brother and I found out what it does when we were about 8 or 9. On a "camp out" in the back yard, we ran out of fire wood. But, we had plenty of Bamboo... dry AND green.
[sm=icon_smile_yikes.gif]..... [:D].....[sm=cooltilt.gif]
