We did hear back, but no, we have no answers. They said everything looked good and they have NO idea what caused her blood to clot so severely. They told her that next time she gets pregnant that she will need to see a "High Risk OB" and be monitored more closely. So... from that blood work she got advice and a $230 bill to talk to the doctor that did it.

On one hand it's good that there is nothing "wrong" with her, but on the other hand it's hard to not have answers. Guess that's where our faith and trust in God comes in.

I am doing well, Trish...thanks for asking. Busy...but good.

The get together at the house was A LOT of fun...everyone enjoyed the games "I made up"...actually I used some of the online games that I play you-know-where as ideas. I made 5 cards of "Two Truths and a Lie" cards, 5 "What would you do if" cards with questions to answer and 5 "Name Three" cards with subjects to name. Everyone enjoyed them since they helped everyone get to know each other better and we had a lot of laughs.

Howdy Joy, Trish and Denny!!

I'd appreciate prayers for Danielle. Her dad has been absent for the most part for 3 yrs now...only making appearances MAYBE once a year. It started about 3 yrs ago when he didn't even bother to come to her graduation, then didn't even talk to her for over a year after that. When she lost Aidan he made an appearance but hasn't called since. I called him and asked him to call her, he said he would... didn't. He says "My daughter is an adult and knows my number." claiming he didn't have her number... she says she has given it to him numerous times and she is VERY hurt that given the situation he hasn't even tried calling her. Today I encouraged her to call and leave a message believing both he and his wife would be at work. WELL... she called and his wife answered the phone, said "hello", Danielle said "hello" and his wife hung up on her!!! I don't know if she thought she was me or purposely hung up on Danielle!!! It's a mess. Please pray.

But on the bright side! Angela and Jeremy and family have found a place to live that is 2 blocks from Angela's job, 2 blocks for the local park and she said will be a great place to live! I thought I mentioned it, but maybe not... they had been given notice that they needed to move by May 1st from where they have lived for about 4 yrs now....a VERY nice house, so they were upset to have to try to find a place that even came close...but God is good and provided!!

Thanks for your prayers, Joy... it would certainly take a miracle!!

I had made one last attempt and called and left another message with Danielle's phone number in it for her dad. All she got back was an EMAIL from his wife saying that "she thought she was a telemarketer" and how "the only number they have for her is her moms".... ummmm...
1. I had just left her number AGAIN
2. Obviously they have had her email the whole time and if they wanted to could have emailed her so the phone number excuse is now just that even more.

We have given up and are moving on without him/them.

BUT.... on the brighter side.
Danielle's birthday was yesterday... which would have also been her due date. I am SOOOOOoooo thankful that she was not sad at all!! She was having a very happy day!! Praise God!! I think it's a big help that we are planning their wedding. Her and I went and looked at the park she booked for the wedding picnic. We are going to explore the option of having the wedding right there... it is so beautiful there and will be even more so when it's GREEN.

Not sure I mentioned it, but the wedding is going to be May 31st.

I got to visit Angela and family as well. It was a blessing to them again as well. Sadly that's only the 2nd time since Christmas.

Logan was riding a special bike they got for him... and was doing very well with it!!! He was having fun trying to run us over. LOL!! It's great that he can do that though seeing as he is paralyzed on his right side... the only thing he hasn't learned yet is how to brake. Obviously the bike is a three wheeler and it doesn't have a typical handle bars... it's a special bike for kids with disabilities and is expandable!! Apparantly his therapist said he will be able to use this same bike until he is a teen because it expands!

And just a bit of news about me. Friday I had my "one on one" with my manager. She asked if I had applied for the "Quality Auditor" position that is open...and I hadn't. I didn't even know it was open because I haven't even looked to see what other positions are open.

She highly encouraged me to apply for it because she said she feels I "would be perfect for the job" because I am very detail oriented and have a good attitude and she would give me a referral to the manager of that dept for it. So.... I did submit my resume for it. So...I may hear something this week on it because they were closing the bidding April 2nd.

This past week I also "offered the olive branch" to my sister that I hadn't spoken to (or heard from) since Christmas. I hadn't called her because she didn't make ANY atttempt to contact Danielle or I when Danielle lost Aidan. I was very hurt by this since I have always been there for her when most in the family weren't when she admitted she was addicted to crack cocaine and went through rehab and was getting back on her feet. I have been there for her through a lot of other things. (including the next situation) So...anyway... I called her to wish her a "Happy Easter" and then after I had called I saw in the paper that she had to testify in court for a trial against the guy that is facing reckless homicide charges for punching her then boyfriend which caused him to fall and hit his head on the concrete and he died from it in 2006. (she didn't even tell me about this on the phone...I think her new boyfriend was there) I was the one she called when that happened as well asking me for answers to "why" and to pray for her. I know this has to be a very hard time for her so I sent her a card as well. So..please pray for her.

Next weekend we get our two new windows and I can start painting!! I have already changed my mind on colors two times since my original choices. LOL!! We will see if I do again before I actually start!!

I am not even sure what the exact hours would be...but I know it would be close to what I am working now... no auditors work the night shift.

It is nice to be recognized and appreciated... even if I don't get it. (but it'd be nicer to get it and get off the phones!!)

Well, I got the email yesterday saying the position is already filled. OH well. Hopefully that lady that lost her job when the job was eliminated in our location will be back!! Right after she left someone in another location quit and opened the position back up.... so hopefully she will have her job back.

Morning.

Can I share this? I hate that Poppa drives 'my' car. Oh, I get it, I don't even mind - after all it gets better gas milage and such. Not to mention that the kid thinks it is 'cool'

But he leaves the seat set in the most uncomfortable positions! It takes me most of the ride to work to get it half-way decent and then fine tune it on the way home and then he drives it and it is out of wack in about 30 seconds.

And, he leaves it blowing cold air.

Now I'm hoping that the image of me bouncing around, trying to find adjustments while yawning and watching for school kids and being grateful that is ALL I have to whine about in the morning make y'all smile.
