Definitely a tom boy.

When the girls were working on their tans at the beach, I was digging through tide pools and having crab races with the boys.

When girls were on the phone, I was on a horse or climbing mountains or belaying down clifts. I raced sailboats in college and got two licenses for SCUBA diving. In my twenties I built an engine from scratch and drove that car for 16 years.

I'm a good mix. i'm nowheres near really girly with pink frills and giggly sleepovers and makeup and hair and nails. anyone who knows me will say that thats NOT me. at all

then again i'm not an all-out tomboy either. i have my girly moments but i am definitly not a tomboy.

I was totally a tomboy...I was the only girl in my family...1 brother and all male cousins (at least in my age range) there were 5 of us within like a year one way or another of my age growing up and it was me and 4 boys and we were all close...even in my neighborhood there was only one other girl and she was as much of a tomboy as me with 2 brothers and no sisters. I loved to get dirty, to climb trees, to wrestle the boys (and win!) and to play football in the yard.

That isn't to say that I didn't enjoy the occasions when I could get all dressed up for some occasion and be a girly girl for a couple hours...I did...but I was much more at home rough-housing with the guys.

I was a tomboy. I was an only child and there were mostly boys in my neighborhood, so I joined them. We climbed trees, built forts in the woods, rode our BMX bicycles (I could do some tricks too), and played lots of baseball and football. After we all got to high school, we went our separate ways and some moved away. Then I became more girlie.

I was always a tomboy. I always wore jeans t-shirt and no shoes! I loves to be barefoot and get dirty, hold frogs or ride dirt bikes. Fishing was and still is a favorite. I hated wearing dresses to church. I still am a little bit of a tomboy, but as i've gotten in my teenage years I've become a lot more girly. I still love to fish, ride dirt bikes, and show the guys I can do almost everything they can!

as a kid I was tomboy, and still am to a degree today at 25. As with in the last five years or so though, I have become a little more intersted in girlie stuff, like hair, makeup, shoes etc. I atleast now match my clothes...we as a kid I couldnt have cared less that my shirt, pants and shoes matched..let alone what my hair looked like :)

hmm....I think I would have to say I was both. I loved barbies, and had a mass amount of them and baby dolls, but I also loved climbing trees, making mud pies and playing with hotwheels! I was a 50/50 kinda girl growing up lol

For sure: tomboy all the way!
My sister and I were like the sons my dad wanted; leaving our poor brother -the actual son...he was just too delicate to stand up to our dad.

Tomboy here... although if my mom would have had her way, I would have been a girlie girl. Even now, as I've gotten older, I think the "tomboy" label has stuck. I love things like hunting, fishing and riding the 4-wheeler around the family farm (interpret that as "mudding" at times even) - and spending time with my hubby and his buds feeding deer, working goats, cheering on our favorite football teams and all that is absolute fun! Although I did have dolls growing up and did the proper "girl things" like piano lessons and such, I think I enjoyed playing with the Tonka toys in the sandbox and working cows with my brothers and my dad just as well. I like to think of myself as "well-rounded" and hope I can raise my daughter the same way.

I was a tomboy growing up, and I still am!

I played sports, baited my own hook (and took the fish off), and played in the dirt.

Come to think of it, I still do all those things!

I'd say tomboy too... I loved being outdoors, playing in the sand, jumping around in puddles, making messes, climbing on things, playing with my brother's matchbox cars and legos, and I HATED dressing up! It always felt so awkward. I remember a time in my life when even wearing jeans felt like I was dressing up, I was so used to my sweat pants and sleep shorts, haha. Now, I'm much more a girlie girl. I still won't wear makeup, but getting messy and having anything at all under my pretty nails drives me bonkers, nearby insects make me panic, and I love shoe shopping!!

I was and am both.

When I was indoors as a little girl, It was barbies and tea parties.
My Mom went to finishing school and required lady like behavior indoors.
However, when we were outside, she just let us be kids. I climbed trees and played in the woods for hours on end. I would leave any dirty jobs like clearing an area for a fort, to my older sister or the boys. I didn't want to get that dirty. I hated sports and would only watch.

As an adult I love pretty things, I love to shop and I love to do domestic stuff, but I also like to camp and mess around in my garden.
