I have Hoyle Board Games on my computer, and it has a really fun crossword. It confirms when you get it right, so it's nice to not have to backtrack.
I haven't done a word search puzzle since I was in school, but I always enjoyed those because I was pretty good at them. The words always seemed to jump out at me, and when all else failed, I had a good system of finding the words.

What kind of puzzles do you like to do?
Crossword puzzles
Sudoku puzzles
Other kind? The really hard jigsaw puzzles. In fact, after our Sabbath meal tonight, maybe I will put one on the table. My husband needs something to get his mind off things.

Crossword puzzles. I"m doing them with my son as part of our bed time routine now. He likes them too and is old enough to get some of them.
We used to do word search puzzles together. He is really good at finding words, just like my husband.
I also enjoy doing a jigsaw puzzle a few times a year.

I voted for sudoku and other. I don't like crosswords OR word searches, but I like lots of other word puzzles. When I buy something other than sudoku, I buy the Variety Puzzle books, with lots of different kinds and then do the ones I like. I also like logic puzzles.

(Paul doesn't get them either....I think he finally finished one puzzle last week and has been trying to figure these things out since before he deployed...lol)

I've never played chess so I don't know if I would do well. I am really good at playing checkers though.

Noah can do sudoku and he's 8. What you need to do is start with a very easy, or kid's version of the game and work up.

I don't do puzzles. If I had to choose, I would do a word search or a simple jigsaw puzzle, but I don't really have the patience to sit and do puzzles.
But I read a lot! :)

I like suduko, sumduko, kakuro, logic problems and a puzzle called 'bridges' that I like to.

Crossword, jigsaw, word search and "other" ... I like doing the puzzle books that are full of logic problems (you know the kind ... where was everyone sitting and what were they wearing type of problems)

I tried kakuro a few months ago. It was horrible. Even with step by step directions, I couldn't get it. Made me feel really stupid, so I threw it away.

Jake loves doing them too. He is just learning so he isn't very good, and he never really finishes a puzzle without my help....but he is getting it!!! We get the books that go up in levels and we take them apart at the binding...he does the easy ones and I do the harder ones.
