Hey everyone....I wanted to start a poll thread again...lots of new faces since I did this last time. I will try to do a few different polls a week, but probably not every day...basically when the conversation stops I will go to a new one. If you have any ideas for great poll questions, feel free to PM me and I will work them in!!

It's been ok so far, just busy...still getting used to life with a little one. But I am enjoying him more every day, he's so fun. There has been an unusual amount of snow this year too, so that's not always fun. I mean, I live in Canada and should expect the snow, but not every other day for two weeks! Crazy. Oh well, it's raining now... [&:] If new year's eve was any indication of how this year would start out, hubby had to work all evening, and we went to bed when he got home at 11:00...big party, hehe PS did you mean to put this in WO Sarah?

I chose YES! Great New Year so far!! [:D] We spent the new year holiday with our best friends in Oklahoma City (we moved away from OKC 2 years ago and miss our best friends a lot), we've had a great start to the year spiritually, in our church and youth group (hubby and I are youth directors) and well today is my birthday and my hubby and kids have made it so sweet!! [:D][sm=icon_smile_roll.gif]

OK, moved from WOPI to WO. I chose not great but not terrible. There have been some crises. However, God has worked things out so maybe it has been great...didn't seem so at the time though.

thanks for moving it Zoe...(brain froze up...I didn't realize where I had put it originally...hehehe) so far our New Year has been great...much better then the tail end of last year...and much MUCH different then a year ago when we were in Germany still preparing to move

The only thing that seems different about this year up to now is the 8 instead of 7 [&o]

Yes, I hate that...Ugh! Especially writing a check and the cashier is looking at ya like "any day now" or they just laugh at you. As simple as it was , thanks for the laugh[:D]

i chose not really good or bad... with the dates thing, if i ever have to write the date on my birthday I always write the year I was born too and not the year it is [8D]

It's been great for me so far! My husband and I found the cutest house and we are in the process of buying it right now! It's everything we were looking for, and more, and the price was right. What a blessing! We should close on 2/7/08. I can't wait to move in!

It's not been too bad so far. I did lose a family member about a week ago so that was tough. The same day my family member passed away I received news that my office would be closed down sometime between now and June 1. However, I am feeling peace about this. Even with some hard blows right of the bat, I am feeling hopeful about what God has in store this year.

This year has been good! And it will just get better once our house is sold (we find out next wednesday) and we buy a house in our new town! I am looking forward to seeing what happens this year!

I am the OTHER. I would say that I have enjoyed it so far. Went on a great anniversary trip, found out some devastating news after we got back, found out gramma is in the hospital, then found out we were pregnant (a result of anniversary trip, I told you it was great[;)]) So two really greats, and two really bads. Kinda even. But I have to say in spite of it I am enjoying it.

So far my new year is going really well.My new years resolution was to grow in the Lord more than ever and I have been growing.I have a friend who helps me to grow in the Lord and always encourages me. I am not sure why but she seems to have taken me under her wing as a mentor. I have also joined the drama team at church and been babysitting alot. I am most excited though about what God is doing in me!! Praise the Lord!!!

I put not great/not bad. It started out great, with lots of energy and high hopes of accomplishing some much-desired goals. But then the realities of life hit ... a friend in crisis, fatigue and a head cold. At first I was discouraged, but I realize this is life and it simply means I must rely on God's strength to help me reach my goals. He'll get me there in His own way and His own time. I just have to be faithful to keep trying every day.

Things have been great. Pretty busy so far. I got some great shifts at work, my volunteering has started back up again, Akeelah is a complete joy and so much fun to be with, job prospects for Dh may be very good this year. We're keeping a positive attitude on everything we take on, and hoping that at the end of the year we can say 2008 was on of our best ever!

Great so far! Found out we were expecting at the end of last year, so surgery this year is cancelled. Several little blessings already this year, and no major crises, so that's always good.[;)] Things are not perfect, but God has His hand on my family. I am content in that.
