grace-n-mercy, I never have been able to break my cat from jumping up on stuff, I think partly because the lady who had him before me let him do anything he wanted. I guess I could've been more consistent in disciplining him, but even if I had, he would've jumped up when I wasn't around. I've read that putting something sticky, like double-faced tape, or something that will fall off and make a noise, on the surface you don't want a cat jumping on is a good deterrent. It sounds kind of inconvenient to me, though - maybe you could do it until you train your cat not to jump up and then discontinue it. Or, if the whole thing sounds like too much trouble, just wipe everything down a lot. [:D]
