more than it appears on the surface! It is Psalm 37:4-5

"Delight yourself in the LORD;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Trust also in Him, and He will do it."

The word 'delight' in the old Strong's Exhaustive Concordance defines the word in the
original Hebrew including a meaning in a context of pottery terms, being 'malleability' as in
working with clay!

If we put the term 'delight' in that context of being 'malleable', it might say:

"If we volunteer our hearts to be available and malleable in His hands, He will form and mold us
to desire the very thing He desires for us, and ultimately for His glory."

I just love that picture! And, I have always loved all the pottery analgies God uses so much in His word
regarding us as His creation!

I've always said that when we delight in the Lord, His desires become our desires. Suddenly that pay raise, that new car, etc. start to look different when compared to the glorious riches (not always money) that He wants to give us. It's not always easy to remember, but I believe we must remember that His desires for us are far better than our desires for ourselves.

I'm still lost as to why the topic is "Is Jesus really enough" but the subject matter has been mainly about a picture. I'll say it again. Jesus is enough.
A picture of Jesus... can't even start to be enough.

If Jesus were to say this to us what would be our reply:

"Will you love Me without all a display of My miraculous powers and Kingly riches? Will you love Me simply as Myself EVEN if I came bearing no gifts?"

Gifts meaning riches, blessings, deliverence from troubles...

What part didnt' I understand? They typo part. The original said "if"... Try as I might my mind would not put the word "of" in there, but now it makes perfect sense. And I agree.
Every once in a while, my brain absolutely refuses to work.
