Mrs.Dawgfan -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/23/2008 2:16:44 PM)

I wonder how much space Lisa had to free up on her camera. [8D][;)][:D]

Hey fluff! Yup, today is my test day. I've seen this hairdresser since I was 13! So he should know my head well enough to give me a good style.

Tink, that's lovely! And the things are soooo cute in that pic. [:)] I can tell the dress came from the 90s. [:D]

Gonna head out soon for my final dress fitting. [:o] I should be fine. Everything should fit. [8|]

mutinywxgirl -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/23/2008 7:40:54 PM)

I had 18 GB of memory available to me - I shot less than 6GB. I only used the one 8GB card.

I'll say this - Sharon and Ray were incredibly calm, cool and collected - their families, however - holy cow! They were insane! [:D]

Nevaehs_gaze did you have a dinner recpetion? I remeber you had tables with game board center pieces. lol

Sorry, just now read this! No, we had a dessert reception - we had New York style cheesecake for our wedding cake, and asked everyone in the invitations to bring their favorite dessert and a copy the recipe to share with us - one of his aunts collected them and put them in a book for us. [:)]

So where did Sharon go on her honeymoon? Sounds like they had a good time at the wedding!

reach -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/24/2008 3:29:28 AM)

Congratulations Sharon!

What a wonderful day!

Can't wait to see pics!

mutinywxgirl -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/24/2008 8:35:18 AM)

South Dakota - one of the national parks.

Mrs.Dawgfan -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/24/2008 1:59:16 PM)

Oh my a dessert reception. John could do some serious damage if I had one of those! lol

I can only imagine the time Ray and Sharon are having right now. [:D]

Hey...wouldn't it be fun if in a year or so we had a Wedding 08 GT and made our own newlywed game? LOL! That would be fun! Actually, Sharon and I talked about an idea of having a couple GT and attending one of the A Weekend to Remember seminar somewhere. If 5 couples go the registration fee would be free. Just a fun idea and who knows? Maybe some of us would be game?

But my hair appt. was fun! It's a nice color and it looks like I am going to have a full up do. We both like everything away from my face with some strands. And tonight we have our rehearsal!

Mrs.Dawgfan -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/25/2008 4:38:18 PM)

Rehearsal and dinner went well! We got free garlic bread and dessert too! [:)]

Busy, busy, busy! [8D]

nevaehs_gaze -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/26/2008 8:49:42 AM)

reach -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/26/2008 2:09:13 PM)

How exciting! That is so awesome!

Mrs.Dawgfan -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/27/2008 2:54:03 PM)

Ladies, who here would be interested in a Newlywed support group, whether here on the forums or elsewhere?
Who here would be interested in a newlywed GT in the near future?

This is not only for 2008 weddings but anyone who has been married up to a few years. Please PM me your thoughts, even if you are not quite sure about any of the above.

::

I plan to get everything done by Thursday so that on Friday I can just have my manicure, relax and go to service. [:)]

fluffmonkey -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/28/2008 11:25:26 AM)

That sounds like an good idea Trish, Sooo how is everything going?? Did you finsh your slide show?

reach -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/28/2008 7:14:07 PM)

what is a GT?

I would love to. We are just going into our second year.

Mrs.Dawgfan -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/29/2008 5:19:57 AM)

GT stands for get together. [:)] Sharon and I came up with a nifty idea. While it may or may not happen, I'd love to tell you the idea. Just PM me if you want to hear it. lol. Since Sharon is not here right now, I don't want to make it public unless she agrees that we should do so. So for now, PMs please. [;)]

fluffmonkey -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/29/2008 4:26:23 PM)

Mrs.Dawgfan -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/30/2008 2:39:23 PM)

Yup. [:D]

It will be a wonderful day! I'm pretty much all ready and will head to the salon in a few hours. My nails look great! Hopefully they will be captured in the pics.

We will be in Cleveland for a few weeks. If I don't come here during that time, I'll see all when I get back. I wanna support the rest of the ladies getting married! [:)]

nevaehs_gaze -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (8/31/2008 9:01:30 AM)

Have a great time in Cleveland, Trish! A newlywed support group would be a good idea! [:D]

fluffmonkey -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (9/1/2008 3:55:18 AM)

Prayed everything went well, I cant wait to hear the stories and see pictures!

sharonjef2007 -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (9/1/2008 9:28:37 AM)

I agree....a newlywed support group would be good!

Our wedding was beautiful as was the reception. And, as in all weddings, something goes wrong. Our 2 issues? Well, the flower girl and ring bearer were missing for the ceremony. So, they did not get to be a part of the ceremony. Turns out, they were waiting in another room. The flower girl still got to throw her flowers as we walked outside down the church stairs. I don't think the ring bearer cared either way...LOL! Our other issue? The best man wanted me to keep ahold of the rings the night before the wedding. Before we left for the church, I put them in my moms purse. So, here I am, walking down the isle, and my mom hands me two ring boxes! LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!

I should have some pics to show later today or tomorrow. But, it could take a few more days. Ray got a call yesterday and his national guard unit is being called up for Hurricane Gustav relief. We have a lot to do in the next day or two!

mutinywxgirl -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (9/1/2008 10:01:37 AM)

I'm creating Sharon's portfolio for her tonight - so she can share what she'd like......

fluffmonkey -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (9/1/2008 11:31:42 AM)

sharonjef2007 -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (9/1/2008 4:38:05 PM)

How does it feel to be a married woman? Hmmmm....not sure........let me think on this one for a second.......

hmmmm......

LOL...just kidding! It is wonderful! Here are some unofficial pics from the wedding and such from my myspace page....

wedding pics

nevaehs_gaze -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (9/2/2008 9:15:15 AM)

Tee hee! The two blunders at our wedding was me saying "I do" twice - I cut the pastor off before he was finished, lol - and having the reception hall flood a bit during a rain storm. I hear that's good luck, anyhow!

I saw a few of the pictures on your myspace, Sharon. You and your husband look lovely together and your gown is gorgeous! Congrats!

mutinywxgirl -> RE: 2008 Wedding Thread (9/2/2008 9:36:23 AM)

Trust me - the pics do the gown NO justice! It was gorgeous!!!!!!! [:)]

True...pics don't pick up all the details on the dress. It was not my first choice of dress, but I'm glad with the outcome. AND........it is the first dress in history that I know of where the bustle actually held and did not break or come off!
