And I'm sure the wait staffs dreaded Sunday because 'Christians' around here are notoriously cheap when it comes to tipping, even though they have the nice suits and the big cars. I have seen more than once waitresses being tipped with tracts. Which is fine, but it'd mean alot more if they stuck a nice tip in there for the person who has been waiting on them for the past hour. Sorry I got on my soapbox I think it's shameful when that happens. We have several threads on that topic somewhere in this folder. Did you ever see them? No, I didn't. Sorry didn't mean to get off topic. I work at a radio station that people have to walk by to get to one of the hot new restaurants and I saw TONS of these kind of people on Mother's Day and had to roll my eyes every time.

Armed Forces Day is Saturday. My stepdad was in the Air Force for 24 years. I'm going to give him Atlanta Braves tickets. PS I already had the tickets...but he doesn't have to know that. Just kidding. But I did get him an Air Force tie that i was gonna save for Father's Day but i could spring it on him Saturday.

Mother's day isn't pagan, it is commercial. It was started to get folks to buy greeting cards when it was a new fad. Thanks for the reminder for Armed Forces day. M'love grew up on airforce bases, made a carreer in the army and is now a contractor on an airforce base. Sheesh, how could I not know this???

Woo-hoo! I need one. Maybe I'll take the camper and go somewhere overnight Saturday and Sunday evenings. My poor husband would have to stay home, though. Not sure if that would be fair....

Stayed home and cleaned house today instead. Oh, well. I got to thinking about the camper and realized what I needed to do to get it in the road for overnight. That's whatcha get when you buy a used camper! Repairs are an ongoing thing. At least so far, they've been minor.

If I ever want to use one, I'll rent one or borrow one. I usually just get a motel, etc. Or pitch a tent. We don't go often enough to own any of that. Cheaper to spring for motels and restaurants. Camping is probably pagan too. LOL.

Camping is pagan if you hug the trees. Looking forward to Memorial Day. Yes, I will be thinking of those who died for our freedom, but I will also be enjoying myself at the Georgia Ren Fair. Talk about pagans and heathens!

I only hug a tree from the side the other campers can't see. lol. Well, I don't hug it, I might lean on it.

And make sure to wrap the video in pretty gold and silver paper and put it under a ficus tree or an ivy. That is a good way to store these type of videos.

You really can't tell the difference between Oprah and an evangelical church? I think that sentence was supposed to have a period on the end of it, not a question mark. The question mark is intentional. What church do you attend, the House of Happiness, Bliss, and No Claims on Your Life? No, that was just my attempt at a joke. I can't go to church because i work during those times, but if I did, the pool of fundamental, back to basics churches is rapidly dwindling. That's what I meant by my 'joke'.

ORIGINAL: themoodyexperience Who all has to work on Memorial Day? (raises hand) Spent the day mowing two yards and the church grounds. No day off. Trying to keep up in between the storms that cycle through here. lol. If I had a weakness, "if", it would be liking to watch old movies. It's hard to find the really good ones, so my black & white section isn't as big as the color sections. But there are some good ones after color. LOL. I've seen some I liked to see at the theatres, but didn't like them enough to purchase them when they came out. Charles Dickens are a few of my favorites.
