Doesn't it bother anyone that Easter spelled backwards is Retsae?

No?

Oh well.

C2G I love your avatar today... the reason it is spelled backwards is that you book is upside down.

Is Retsae supposed to mean anything?

My book isn't upside down! Lol!

Surely Retsae means something. I could google it. <quickly does a search>

I got over 1800 hits! So it means something. I couldn't tell you what, but it does mean something!

It sure looks like your book is upside down.

I did a "goodsearch" on Retsae and got hits for "easter"

I've never heard of a goodsearch. What is that?

Can't you see the title on my book? I can read it. It says "Chosen". What looks upside down about it?

Besides, if it were upside down, the front cover would be on the other side.

Retsae is a kind of sheep, huh? What does that have to do with Easter?

Goodsearch is a search engine that gives money to charities for every search you do. My Uncle's deaf ministry is my charity. I noticed someoen else on here has a sigline saying they goodsearch for another deaf charity but it is for any charity.

As for your book, the white strip on the "top" looks like the bar code that would be on the bottom back cover of the book. I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't said anything about it.

I'll have to check out goodsearching. It sounds interesting.

The white strip on my book is the library sticker, so that's why it's on the front of the book.

(shaking head slowly) no wonder we end up arguing on these threads... it was a joke people!!! I guess I have to work on my one-liners some more. I need some tutoring from Jimbo Fletch and ps103. They are fabulous at one-line humor here in Crosswalk.

And for the dear woman who wondered what to wear for Easter (in the women's thread) my pastor preached today in his jeans and his button down casual shirt untucked. Good message, btw.

Don't forget this is the Theology folder! Humor is restricted to Theo House and is not allowed to surface anywhere else!

Well, the Lamb was crucified. However, we celebrate His ressurrection, so we probably shouldn't say "Happy Easter" to anyone. Everyone knows that true Christians would only say "Happy Resurrection Sunday!"

Hope y'all are having a great one!

I think we should not wear the cross on our necklace but an empty tomb.

What?!? No humor except in Theo's house? ACK!!!!! I find alot of humor in some of these theological debates.

BTW, I am on the wireless laptop so I can check e-mail while watching The Sound of Music. Almost all of the commercials are from Christian music collections.

I tried, but they are too heavy. I must be a weak Christian.

Probably not real Christian music collections. Afterall, any song that isn't at least 2000 years old isn't worthy of singing to the Lord.

Well, the Lily crowd was out in full force yesterday. Latecomers had to park half a mile away - or in places that blocked a dozen or more cars until they made it back to their vehicle...

I wonder where the Holly and Lily crowds hang out the rest of the year...

They hit the snooze alarm.

If I were going to pick just 2 Sundays a year to go to church, it wouldn't be Incarnation or Resurrection Sunday.

But, then, I've never been fond of over-dressed, over-perfumed crowds.

Funny Story... I overheard some teenagers talking about the different churches they went to. One of them said, "I go to the FMC Methodist church" When someone asked what FMC meant, the wise cracking kid said "It means he only goes on Fathers Day, Mothers Day, and Christmas.

ROFLOL!

If that's the case, I went to EMC Lutheran church. Easter, Mother's Day and Christmas.

Sunday morning, our five-year-old decided to sit beside a man in front of me for the first part before they dismiss us for Sunday School. She was pinching her nose shut and saying, "Ew! What's that gross smell?" The man said it was probably his cologne. One of these days that girl is going to just embarrass me to death with some of the things she says.

I saw this on a church sign:

Beat the Christmas Rush!

It looks like Atlanta is taking part in Earth Hour. It seems that the World Wildlife Federation has asked cities around the world to turn off all non-essential outdoor lights as a show of solidarity against global warming ( global warming could careless but is another topic ).

Some folks have gotten carried away and decided that we are being called to turn off all of our personal lights on Saturday between 8 and 9 pm. Even to the point of wondering how they are going to be holding previously planned special events in the dark! This is all so silly. If someone doesn't have the HABIT of turning off un-needed lights, etc, then what is the real point? Our house will look no differant than usual since I turn off lights we aren't using anyhow! I kinda like the lower electric bill.

But on a bright note (punt intended) a gentleman who is an engineer was listing possible solutions for a dance to be held in Atlanta this Saturday, starting at the fateful hour. His tongue-in-cheek favorite solution involved using solar power LED Christmas lights wrapped around the individual dancers. Not sure how well folks could dance but it sure would be pretty.

So Happy Earth Day / Earth Hour
