Pauley464 -> I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 10:47:43 AM)

To go along with the "I have an announcement" thread started by mmartiandt:

What is the worst drink you've ever had?

The worst thing I have ever tried to drink was Pepsi One. This was during my dieting stage in life. Thankfully it didn't last very long.

Grace-N-Mercy -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 11:11:34 AM)

I'm a classic kinda girl, so anything but real Coke and real Pepsi are like this: [:'(] Give me the real thing, baby!

wfisaac -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 11:18:06 AM)

The thing that comes to mind is back when I was still in high school, we were on our way moving from Michigan to Montana. It was in the middle of the summer and we were driving in this pick up truck with no AC. We hit eastern Montana which is a whole lot of nothing...flat...dry....yuck. It was so hot and dry and our truck over heated so we were sitting on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere absolutely thirsty and all we had was a jug of this nasty orange drink. It wasn't even anything like real orange juice or even Sunny D. It was just plain nasty and it was HOT. And it was thick and just coated your mouth. Ugh!! Even the thought of it all these years later makes my stomach churn![:'(]

John_O -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 12:37:43 PM)

worst drink? Assuming we are excluding medicines or any thing like that.

It would have to be coffee. Any kind. It just tastes like moldy pond water to me. (or at least how I'd expect moldy pond water to taste.)

Followed closely by V8 or any other vegetables disguised as beverage sort of thing.

broyce1981 -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:02:49 PM)

A few things come to mind and they're all worth mentioning I think......

1.Mixing everything in my refrigerator as a kid. It was something like coke, milk, orange juice, grapefruit juice, and ginger ale. One sip and I poured the rest down the drain.

2.Maple syrup. I'm counting it as a drink because I did try to drink a jug of it. I would have received $20 had I been succesful. But the end result was coming nowhere close to finishing and being violently ill for the next 3-4 days. I haven't had maple syrup on anything since.

3.Moxie. It's the soda that tastes like cough syrup. Around these parts, it's very popular so I have to watch what I say because people may get offended if I speak badly of the stuff. In fact, I was in a store once and had picked up a coke. Then some guy comes up to me and told me to put it back and that I needed a Moxie instead because it was so superior. I tried to politely decline, but he kept insisting. Crazy locals!

AdrianaS -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:05:29 PM)

Ewww...let's start with my list:

Pepsi and its family sodas, Rootbeer, MountainDew, berries punches, tropical artificial tastes flavors as mixing of peach and mangos in everything bevarages ewwww, tomato juices ewwww, hmmm...for now that is all in my mind...

Ps: and sure I made huge difference in tastes between punches and juices mixing fruits flavors to smoothies, smoothies are delicious and made with fresh fruits!
[:D]

I dont like "moxies" too! ewww rootbeers are moxies to me..ewwww !

Grace-N-Mercy -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:13:38 PM)

Yeah, I forgot about rootbeer. [:'(] Though I think my dislike began with those horrid candies.

I don't like Mountain Dew either, but the story behind that is really gross, so I won't share.

trainfan -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:15:01 PM)

Two words. BUG JUICE[:'(][:'(][:'(]

The first and last time I had that it had real bugs in it.[:'(][:'(][:'(]

Ditto those 2 also.

What is bug juice?

wfisaac -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:35:46 PM)

Both of my younger nieces get that Bug Juice all the time. They love it, but it looks too sickly sweet to me.

Michelle, they're just a small bottle of funky colors and flavors...and loaded with sugar. Kind of like a high potent kind of kool-aide.

tlims -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:38:09 PM)

LOL

you guys are so funny this morning! i love it!

Can't really stand coke, pepsi, or rootbeer, but not really a big fan of soda / pop (which ever you perfer to call it...) and V8 is diffently up there on the top of the list too...

and so sorry, but Mid-West water w/ all those minerals in it is rather hard to swallow... especially when you're from the Pacific Northwest ~ I always had to buy bottled water to drink

trainfan -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:39:55 PM)

Some nasty imitation orange drink. I had it at some camp I went to in elementary school. They made it in a cut down 55 gallon drum.

Grace-N-Mercy -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:45:36 PM)

Blech! Sounds too syrupy-sweet. [:'(]

wfisaac -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 1:52:07 PM)

Oh....so you really had the all natural Bug Juice then huh, Trainfan...yeah...that would be nasty...maybe it's the same orange drink we had on our trip to Montana....it's very nasty when it's hot.

Awww....all you anti V8 people.... *bonk* (like on the commercials [:D]). I'm actually sitting here sipping on V8.

I have to agree on the Mt. Dew...blech.

Hey tlims...about 15 miles from me there's an area where there are three natural spring wells where we can get some water and it is the most purest tasting water I've ever had. But I do agree with you that otherwise the water in this neck of the woods is kind of nasty. The water in my hometown causes chemical warfare to go on in your stomach. My grandma can't understand why I always bring my own water when I go to her place. I told her one burp around an open flame after drinking that stuff would be dangerous.[:D]

trainfan -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 2:01:34 PM)

The city water where I live is nasty and the stuff at my business is even worse. I always drink bottled water.

Grace-N-Mercy -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 2:07:44 PM)

While I drink bottled water, it's usually just for convenience. They have a bottled water plant in my hometown, and the water tastes the same as it does from the tap.

What are your favorite brands of water?

Oh yes, me too and my fav in Georgia is the Crystal brand but a friend told me they are not spring water at all and comes from Florida..well still to me, Crystal tastes delicious even after the information that he provide to me..

And about sodas I sure enjoy Coke and there are foods that must be washed inside with a Coke and even the healthy "burping" that may come after drinking it are all welcome. Well sure there are people that are very much loud and scandalous when burping, that is another nasty situation I may say. Ewwwww the serious burpers around us ewwwww...LOL

Ever been to the coca cola factory in Atlanta? You've gotta try "Beverly". [8D]

Seriously, on field trips, anyone who'd never been was iniated by being told that Beverly was the best coca cola out there. I think its from India or some other place similar, and it makes cough syrup taste delicious. [:'(] [:'(] [:'(]

.Pammy -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 6:31:01 PM)

Coffee. Blech! (Although the smell is rather nice.)

thenoiseimake40 -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 7:07:59 PM)

Had Gatorade once. [:'(] Won't ever drink it again. I think that stuff has way too much sugar in it.

CoeurdeLeon -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 8:17:26 PM)

I'll have you all know that coffee is the most perfect drink. Nectar of the gods, etc.[sm=nosestuckup.gif]

The worst thing? Wild Turkey. Oh my. But that was long ago. Now the worst thing is grape juice. Ick.[:'(]

**you guys didn't expect anyone to say something like ^^ that, did ya?
[8D]

9drtr -> RE: I have an announcement, too! (2/2/2008 9:28:40 PM)

I can't recall the brand, but I had a beer from France once. It had very little flavour, but what it had was repulsive.

You're right. I'd never expect anyone to say that coffee was nectar.
