He's the owner of the car in which I had the accident. That was taken after the Steve Green concert on Jan 27th.

You have to zoom all the way in. Resolution looks to be such that a car is a couple pixels.

Probably depends on the area. Looks like the aerial/satellite ones of my town are about three years old (taken during the renovation of one of the buildings on campus... I can see the construction zone).

Street View images will all be less than a year old because that's brand new. Google has fleets of vehicles out driving around snapping pics.

To find my house you have to go one block up and about 8 blocks west. [:D]

The picture of my city is at least one year old. I put a new roof on last year and it is a different color.

Street view isn't available for my area .. the satelite view takes you to my neighbor's house 2 doors down.

I can scan up a little bit and find which house is mine because the adjoining driveway looks like one big driveway. Plus it looks like my house is the only one with a garage.

I also found it interesting to see that some of my brother's "leftovers" are visible from the satelite ...[sm=rolleyes.gif]

Mine is probably a few years old. First, the roof is a different color, there is no fence around the property, and there are several houses that hadn't been built yet on a nearby street.

Did you restart your browser? You have to do that before it'll work.

Then again it could be the case that it works better on my end because I installed from source (I'm currently booted into linux).

I use the binary. Some files online are just not formed properly, and I get gray boxes or worse.
I found a map that works for me, though. I posted about it in the original thread where this was discussed.

I added you to the main map - as I said in the other thread - I don't want multiple maps out there. Totally defeats the purpose!

Thanks. Going to have to do it next week since I'm at work and my avatars are at home and you won't be available later and I don't want to do it when you aren't available (since I have no confidence in my own abilities here!)

(I looked at it and don't see the place where you mean, actually. When I click on a blank "person", it brings up a little dialog box that says "join this map".)

Pam - once you click on that first box, it takes you to another one that has an "image" location at the bottom.

Lisa, I kind of felt not ok as my family, Brasil and its neighboors were all alone there..then I'm there too, that's ok for now?

Hehe! [:D] It looks as though I live absolutely no where when in actuality it is a tourist town w/ a bunch of shops & restaurants. I wonder if they every update the shots?
