Praying for that too!

We have not been having the greatest timing the past couple of months for different reasons. But, I plan to more than make up for that next cycle and hopefully graduate. I know we are not technically trying, but I would like to be trying a little bit more than what we have been. So we shall see.

I don't know what category I fit into. We aren't trying, per say, but we aren't NOT NOT trying either. I guess that puts me in here?

AF arrived today, but I knew that it would because we totally missed the the window of opportunity. So I am hoping this month might be the month that we time things right and then we will know the beginning of December. Until then...

Welcome Ashley!!!

Gina & Noelle,

I am not supposed to post in the other thread, but I want you to know that I am praying for you. I also wanted to know if you had taken a PG test, as I was reading on another thread where someone has spotting like you were talking about, and they were PG.

Praying for you both.

Jocelyn,
I'm assuming you were asking Noelle if she took a test, not me... but um, yeah, I took a test a few days ago. It was negative, as I assumed it would be.

Thank you for the prayers.

I went to the doc. today because I was up all night in terrible pain (sinus/jaw/facial pain) I officially have a sinus infection.

I hate sinus infections. I am so sorry. I just started getting them 3 years ago, and not it seems I have them all the time. Ugh!

Sorry you did not get a positive on your test. :(

Just a question... do you ladies know what the average time frame is for conceiving after beginning to try? We're a healthy, young couple and definitely not ready to try yet, but are thinking sometime next year... we have a somewhat of a schedule we'd have to work with/around though being under contract employment, hence the reason for my question.

I dont think there really is an average time frame. They generally dont "define" it as having a problem until a year has past. But then you also dont know when you could have a problem. Most people who have difficulty conceiving don't start out thinking they will have problems. I know thats not much of an answer but I dont think its a question that can really be answered specifically. It could be anywhere from one cycle to many cycles.

I agree with Erin.

"They" say that the average woman has about a 20- 25% chance of getting pregnant each cycle. This is, of course, if there are absolutely no issues for either partner. Throw in a problem or two, and well... things don't go nearly as well.

My mom (when I told her that statistic) said that she thought that her chance of getting pregnant without any form of birth control was about 100% every time.

For me? Eh, we've been trying for a very long time now. It's been atleast a couple of years with absolutely no contraception, and even almost a year of medical help in the process.

It truly depends on what's going on with you, and your hubby. (medically speaking)

.....well ladies.....it is time I head on over here!

My husband and I have been married since August, and are at a point where we feel ready to start officially trying. He is in the national guard and is slated to deploy in Spring of 2010. Considering how freaked out I am about the whole pregnancy and childbirth process, he needs to be here if I am pregnant. So, if we do not get pregnant by April, I'll be back over in the Not TTC thread.

We do have some challenges. I have endometriosis and fibroids, so I'm not sure how that will effect fertility. I can't make myself wake up enough to temp in the morning, so I think I'm just going to try the ovulation prediction kits and see how they go.

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but when is the best time to have sex when ovulating? Before, during, just after????

All of the above

Welcome to the TTC thread, Sharon. I never would have thought you would be over here. God has really been working in your heart over the past few months.

Well...at least that will be fun! LOLOLOL...!!!!!!!!!

You are right though, God has been working in my heart. I have always wanted to be a mom. I just never wanted to be pregnant and have to give birth! I still get the "alien effect" when I see a pregnant woman! But, I'll get through it and get the end of having a baby. I still can't think about childbirth....

nothing wrong at all with all 3.
Most important though, if all 3 is not gonna happen, is just before, or on the day of.

You don't have to fully wake up to take your temp though. I have my hubby take my temp when he gets up, and he writes it on a calendar we have hanging on the wall near the bed. Then I chart my temps later on. If I were left to my own devices, I probably would not take my temp nearly as often. But... since I have an accountability partner of sorts, and he knows it is important to me, we have probably only missed 3 days in the last 3 years or so.

You also don't have to take temps to chart something. You can always chart your cervical mucous. (there are different types, in case you didn't know that) Then you can chart your OPK results, and see if they coincide. (they should be pretty close) and after doing that a couple months in a row, you can probably figure out just about when you ovulate... assuming that you ovulate regularly. (you can have a reg. period and not ovulate regularly) Anyway, just stuff to consider. =)

I don't know if I belong here or not. We aren't using any BC (hate that stuff) and are trusting God in my fertility. It took us 3+ years to get pregnant with our son, Jadon. The wait was HORRIBLE, but now that we have him I see that God's timing really was best for our household. I'm wondering when the next baby will come. We sure didn't prevent, in any way, this month and I was definitely 'fertile'. So I can't stop wondering if I have a baby growing inside of me right now. I guess we'll see.
