I thought of you today too, Karlie. I had to go to W**M**T to buy a birthday gift for a little girl and miss Evelyn went with me. She saw some "high heels" on sale for $12 and wanted them, but they didn't run small enough. She was devastated, so I took her to payless and she settled for these.
I have a feeling I'm in big trouble when her feet grow just a little bigger.

UGGGHHHH!!!! I've been trying to get page numbers correctly on my report and have been working on it for TWO HOURS!!!! Why does it have to be so difficult just to put two different sets of page numbers in one document??? I tried section breaks, and that didn't work.
I give up!

It is! I just emailed the prof asking if i could just hand write them in. A few of the pages have to be in lower case roman numerals and the rest have to be arabic numerals

It's Word 2007.
I may just copy some of the pages into another file and number each file separately.

Steve, couldn't you just run the printed pages through the printer again, only with nothing on the file your printing except for the numbers where you need them?

Hmmm...that's a VERY interesting idea, Beckey! I think I'll try that if I can't get this to work. I'm waiting for the prof's email reply before i try anything else. She may let me off the hook and let me hand write the numbers in.

Yep, I tried that, SharMar. In theory it;s SUPPOSED to work if you insert a section break, but it didn't.
How's that corner? Any spiders or other crawly critters?

Well, I finally got that stupid page numbering thing figured out. It's WAY more difficult than it should be. I wasn't even going to attempt to use the automatic TOC function, so I typed it out manually.
Now I can start on my assignment for the new course that starts on Wednesday.

This paper has to have the first few pages numbered in lower case roman numerals. Then the body of the paper and the works cited page has to be in arabic numerals. Don't ask me why. 
Oh, and the first page had to have no number, with the next page starting at ii. That was another step to figure out.

Classes are really bogging me down this semester. Of course, I'm working 40 hours a week again.....bleh

I've been busy busy writing a paper and helping a friend sheetrock an attic space. I decided I have to get out and do things without worrying about homework all the time.
This next class will be a lot of work, too. It's a Managerial Information Technology course, which is basically learning Excel and Access, along with general IT stuff.
