Is that reaction going to be an issue in your social working career? Why or why not? Explain in detail. Be brief.

This is not a test. Just an exam.

So how DID you do on the test you were worried about?

Yeah, haven't seen you in a while, Karliegirl.

Midterms are over, I'm holding a low A in two subjects, a solid B in another, and a high C that I can probably pull up to a B if I do well on the next paper. I had to drop the philosophy course, I could never get it. So, I'll take it as a remote at a local community college, then transfer the credits here. And yeah, I can do that, thank the dear Lord.

The state fair is firing off fireworks just down the road as I type. I think I'll go next Wednesday morning....it's fun, just being two miles from the state fair!

So, how was the test grade you were worried about?

Hey Ray, Ben, Trish, and Darcy!

Hey, do you want me to explain or be brief...you can't have both! Since I'm not going to be a social worker, can I get out of the test??

I ended up with a B, barely. Better than how I felt when I left class that day, but I need to study harder. I have A's in all classes at the moment, but not if I do that a few more times. I would be perfectly happy with Bs, but grad school competition is tough for this program I want in.

Good job on midterms, Darcy!

Good job to both of y'all!

Now, we just need Steve to check in and give us his grades.

I was thinking about all 3 of y'all the other morning. Go y'all!

Absolutely...Thanks for checking in

I have to tell you guys the funniest thing. I had no idea young women still listend to old wives tales. WHN and I were out tonight and sitting near two young women, one obviously pregnant. The Mommy to be was telling the other one all about the does and don'ts of pregnancy. She told her she can't have any hot drinks...no hot tea and no warm baths, because it would raise the temperature in her uterus and "boil her baby"! I about choked on my salad! It was all we could do not to set that poor girl straight. She said that info came from her doctor, but I'm betting Great, Great Aunt Bessie had more to do with it.

That's just ludicrous about the whole pregnancy thing!

Darcy, glad you're going to be getting some entertainment!

Now there IS a reason that the docs say to stay away from hot tubs when in that condition.

Aunt Bessie knows thereof what she speaks.

Somewhat anyway.....

There would be an awful lot of boiled babies if that was true!

I had the day off today and spent the ENTIRE day on my excel assignments. I blasted through all the tutorial exercises, the review exercises, and the assigned and unassigned case problems. I may actually be halfway competent with this thing. Especially with charts. I messed up and started over enough that I am really experienced with it now.

I think it's time for a break and then start on the two chapters of reading from the MIS book.

That one is coming up soon enough. My next class is accounting, so I'm sure that's all excel. Hopefully they won't teach us how to use paper spreadsheets.

Oh my word, Steve!

LOL!

I remember the Calgon one and the Tootsie Roll one, but I'm not sure if I ever saw the cheese one (well, until just now).

Isn't it amazing how quickly we can remember those things with a little bit of prodding?

Oh, yeah...SharMar.

I watched quite a few of the old commercials and remembered so many.

I just finished watching an episode of fat Albert. I loved that show.
