We're off to the doctor. The fun just never ends [&:]

((((((Karlie & Kristen)))))))

We go back to BAMC on Thursday to get the stitches taken out of Mom's hand. They biopsied a spot on the back of her left hand today.

The hospital is quite daunting when looking at it from the outside - and I guess it would be easy enough to get lost in, but so far I've had a pretty easy time of getting around in it.

This place is stranger than the last one....[8|]

Perhaps the strangeness has been kompounded.[8D]

I found y'all. Nice try though.[8D]

Maybe the strangeness has been squared. [:D]

No, cake are squared.

shawke -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 9:52:34 PM)

Ok...I'm patiently waiting for the Kristen update. And the lunch menu.

LOL!

Hope things went well with Kristen Karlie.

That's a huge hospital, Beckey!

Kristen is fine. It went pretty much as we anticipated, and he confirmed the problem. The only bad thing is he wants it done in the hospital under general and we weren't anticipating that. But, he feels it's necessary, so that's what we'll do. He's very nice and is highly respected in his field, so we trust his judgment. They are trying to schedule it for spring break.

Lunch was Olive Garden of course...her favorite! [:D] We got pasta dishes, of course! Kristen had Grilled Shrimp Caprese, and I had Tuscan Garlic Chicken. It was the first time either of us had those dishes and they were wonderful. No dessert though...we were too full to even split one.

I have a feeling I may be visiting my local Olive Garden tomorrow...[;)]

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 11:42:05 PM)

lol! it was yummy!

armydude -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 11:43:34 PM)

I love eating at Olive Garden. I don't eat there often for the prices, but I do enjoy it when I can.

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 11:47:19 PM)

I know...it's kind of on the pricey side. WHN hates Italian food, so it's just Kristen and I when we go, and it's just occasionally. Probably a good thing they aren't cheaper, or we'd eat there all the time and that would be a bad thing!

armydude -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 11:49:16 PM)

I've been meaning to ask this for a while, but I didn't wanna look like a MO-RON... Since I'm as tired as I am right now, I'll just deal with lookin like one. What does WHN stand for? A name?

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 11:53:05 PM)

LOL! Everyone asks that sooner or later [:D]

WHN="What's His Name". It's a nickname for my husband. Someone in forums came up with way back when I first joined 7-8 years ago. I hadn't posted his name before and when our anniversary came around, Darryl(walker311) posted "happy anniversary Karlie and What's His Name. It stuck for some reason and he has been known as that around here ever since.

armydude -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 11:55:31 PM)

Gotcha! Now I'm not in the dark anymore! I was trying to come up with a name that would fit, or some phrase, but "What's his name" never occurred to me!

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/19/2008 11:59:25 PM)

Now you're in the know! [:)]

Today, when we went to the doctor, I had the directions to his office on a post-it note and stuck it to the dashboard of my car right above the stereo. Kristen looked at it and said "oh, cool...primitive GPS" [:D]

Primitive GPS!!! Hey... whatever works... right?

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:11:58 AM)

Yep! It got us there [:D]

armydude -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:12:48 AM)

I'm looking at that picture... and wanting one... I think I'll go pay the Roaster's Coffee Depot a visit in the AM.

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:16:26 AM)

I was thinking about coffee a few minutes ago too, but then I'd be up half the night. I don't need any help not sleeping, that's for sure!

I had to give up coffee on school days. Otherwise, I have to hit every restroom between every class...twice!

_Cinderella_ -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:17:46 AM)

I don't have coffee on my non-work days. I am trying to not build my caffeine immunity even higher than it is.

armydude -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:19:17 AM)

If I went a day without caffeine in some form, my loverly would call an ambulance.... or the cops wanting to know who took the place of her husband!

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:24:42 AM)

lol James. I still have my coffee on school days, just wait til after classes are finished. I'm a cold weather coffee drinker though...I usually don't have it in the summer unless it's a blended iced coffee.

armydude -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:29:06 AM)

I don't always have caffiene in coffee, but I have it every day.

Me with caffiene...[:D]

Me without caffiene...[:@]

karlie -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:31:19 AM)

*hands James caffeine...lots of it *

armydude -> RE: Karlie's Kompound for Komrades (2/20/2008 12:37:18 AM)

hehehehehehe.... thanks.... [:D]
