What's the topic of your English paper, Karlie? It's an odd paper. Several weeks ago, we had to write an analytical paper on a short story she assigned. Now, we have to "re-vision" the entire paper and have some research to back up our thoughts. The original story was about a woman who was in injured and scarred as a child and how she let what others thought affect her so much, even after she was a successful writer. So, my research is about self perceptions and how people often give too much power to others by placing too much value in their opinion of us. It's about three pages away from done. I think

My final for today was graded and posted already too...I got a 90! Woo hoo! That was a very difficult exam, so I feel very accomplished. Now if I get an A on my final paper, I'll keep my A in the class. We'll see if I'm as lucky in the stat's analysis class.

They didn't have any computer blips during the exam, did they? Actually, we did Internet went down campus wide in the middle of it. I had all my datasets opened and ready to go, so I wasn't as frantic, but some of them waited to pulled them up one at a time as they needed them and they were going crazy trying to get them opened. I have no idea what she'll do to grade them...we didn't get back online til shortly before we had to submit everything, so we lost some time. I know it was God that told me to pull all the datasets before I even got started.

Wow! So they don't even compensate for time lost due to computer outages? That seems quite harsh.

Another class was due to come in and begin their final when our time was up...they won't back up final schedules for any reason short of natural disaster. I'm guessing she'll add some bonus point or grade very leniently...she's very fair and realizes it was beyond our control. I was just thrilled I completed all sections before time was up.

It sounds like you did very well; did you need to use the entire 2 hours (I imagine so, given the outage).

I'm teetering between an A and a B in there, so we'll see what happens. I've seriously never had a class that tough to keep up with. I was not sad to walk out of that lab for the last time

I wish they offered the one class I needed for my general studies AA in the summer. I am not so sure if I have it in me to do a 16 week class in the fall. I am really tired of school and don't want to go anymore until I have a clear direction of a degree I want.
