ohh, I just checked, we have a week off between classes!
That does take some of the pressure off.
It's very sunny and perfect here, Sharon. It was 78 yesterday with zero humidity. Perfect!

Karlie, just wait until you start up again...just wait...just wait.

We're not getting Memorial Day off either. The teacher said she'd give us a "lab day" that day. Not sure what that means except no classroom time.

It's going to be 102 here today. How fun It's jumped so fast...2 weeks ago it was in the 70s, and no one is acclimated yet.

Well, maybe Catherine would smile about that temp. My reaction at seeing that was

I have to quit saying "sorry Karlie" to you Karlie. Because everytime I do I "hear" ..."sorry Charlie" as in the tuna commercial so then I feel like my sorry sounds contrite because you have that tuna aversion. LOL!

Hi James!

Sharon, I like the picture of the lilacs. Mine haven't bloomed yet, looks like it will be very soon.

Steve, they did away with that at schools out here a long time ago. Kind of sad that normal childhood games we played can't be enjoyed by the kids anymore.

No wonder why kids take out their aggressions on society, they can't do it naturally during play.

As usual, in an attempt to fix a real problem, authorities go WAY overboard, and cause more problems than they fix.

That's a good point Steve.

The lilacs were just really that opened this morning. I have been watching and I wanted a pic with some of the little buds still needing to open.

Plus children who are soooo over protective, can't build confidence or ability to handle a more aggressive situation in the future.

We take those kinds of games away but we applaud and even encourage young kids in the sport of hunting which actually involves weapons and...killing.
I'm just not a big advocate of hunting for sport.

Now hunting for food is another story altogether.

Yes, James that's another issue. And I regularly hunt for food at Pick N' Save.

I know there are many hunters. I have friends who are hunters and I harass them in my own special way, lol. But every year in the paper I work on, beginning in late September/early October, we have many, what I call, dead animal pages featuring hunters and their "catch". And every year I wonder about the mindset that literally is thrilled to go out and kill an animal. I accept that people do, but, I don't understand it.
Hope you don't think less of me for it James.

I won't. I hope you won't think less of me when I say that if I get a chance to get bambi in my crosshairs, bambi is goin down.

It really is just a matter of perspective. You say "Poor Bambi", while I say, "Yummy!"

But when you say Bambi, you are actually saying to people like me and Karlie (forgive me Karlie if I'm wrong) that you are killing fawns. Baby deer.
And that sounds...callous. And James, I know you are not a callous person.
Right?

Right?
I'm not that callous. I will not kill a baby deer.
I go for the adults. But what would you call an adult deer in one word that easily gets your point across?

ETA: Loverly just said, "Well, Bambi grew up, and his name was still Bambi."
