I think it looks rather dorky to wear ankle socks with loafers, but that's just me

Didn't your hear?, dorky is the new hot!!

I've been hot for years then! LOL!

Actually I could take this to mean that I have hot flashes because I'm dorky- not because I'm perimenopausal!

If I had my choice between the two, I'd rather be a dork wearing jeans than a peri woman wearing jeans.

I'd go with dork with her own personal summer...in jeans.

Boot cut. Low rise, but not show my butt crack low. All I wear are jeans. I love jeans! Yay for jeans!

Nicole-
I'm with you here!!! When some people say "I really never wear jeans" I think..."What DO you wear????" Because that is mostly what I wear. I do have nicer dress pants, but in all honesty, I just wear them for church or going out somewhere nicer. I have a couple of these Avery Wide Leg Pants and they're pretty comfy. But mostly I just wear jeans. When I'm not in scrubs that is.

I don't have a jeans style, and don't even have a picture in my head for what jean styles mean. I just buy what fits.

Only one person for the skinny pant? It is a hard look to pull off. Mostly I see thin punk-rocker looking girls wear them, but with the right frame, they really can look cute on someone.

My butt doesn't fit into them, regardless of the size!

I have a pair that I used to wear...I've gotten, shall we say, slightly too pleasantly plump to pull them off now, LOL

I could probably wear them but have such bad memories of tapered leg from childhood that the thought of something that tight around my ankle makes me anxious.

I will sometimes get a pair of khaki's in the summer. But khaki's always tend to get dirty and lose their shape even if they have stretch to them. So I wear my jeans all the time! They are comfy, tend to look clean all the time and they don't lose their shape. I can buy a pair of jeans for $20 and they will last me months and months.

I only see our skinny neighbour dudes wear those skinny jeans. They look like skinny punks in my opinion . I refuse to wear those jeans cuz they would make me feel dorky. And I wear jeans even on the hottest days so if they were tight all the way down my entire legs would probably catch fire.

Even if I were a size 0 my legs wouldn't fit into them because I have a little muscle on my legs.

I wore skinny jeans/pants before I grew hips. Now, they just bring all the focus to my hips/backside. Making my backside and hips look twice as wide is not my idea of flattering.

And by "flare" are we talking bell bottoms then? Or is flare between boot cut and bell bottom?

Anyway, I like flare and boot cut jeans, mid-rise not low rise.

I used to wear penny loafers and bobby socks with long skinny skirts made out of denim material, but not necessarily blue. That was my favorite and most comfortable look in the late 80's when I had to do so much walking througout the day.

You caught me! I am a walking time warp, I guess. We had a dress like you did in high school night for our women's ministry and I had everything I needed in my own closet. All I Had to do was put my hair up with a top ponytail in a scrunchy and feather my bangs and spray them like there was no tomorrow and I was good.

Um, no. Blue Jeans are not appropriate for dinner parties.

I've always worn flat sandals with jeans (I'm also tall) and have never gotten any comments on whether it "looks right" or not (but I wouldn't care even if it didn't). However, I have no idea what a dinner party is so... *shrug*.

re: betterisoneday
for good fitting jeans for taller women, try applebottoms. also, when i go to anyone's house, i am the first just to throw off my sandals anyways, so now i am getting to the point of why wear anything anyways? LOL
