I would think it would depend on the kind of dinner party. Casual? Sure. I wear jeans with sandals all the time on summer evenings. Its a nice casual look.

I have trouble with jeans if I don't get the length tailored. Talls are to long and regulars aren't quite long enough to wear with boots or heals both of which I wear somewhat regularly.

I wear sandals with jeans all the time. As for weather or not jeans are dressy enough for a dinner party, that would depend on a variety of things, like where the party is, etc.

LOL anyone else feel that its ok to go barefoot in public? My dad's family never wore shoes in the warmer months except for school and church. I would rather be barefoot anyway. In fact, I'm bummed because I left my favorite sandals in Indiana. I can't bring myself to go to K-Mart and spend over $20 on the pair that I saw there and really liked.

I take my shoes off at the first opportunity. Ok, I"m irritated because I've torn out the knees of probably my 5th pair of jeans in the past YEAR. I feel like I'm 7 years old at the rate I'm going through jeans. I spend my days down on the floor with kids, and it just kills the knees in my jeans.

just skimmed this thread... am i the ONLY woman who only wears men's jeans? i hate that women's jeans have such "short" front pockets. and i like the way men's jeans sit low on my waist, without being risque like the low-cut women's jeans. also...they're usually fuller-cut thru the thighs. i drive a truck, so i basically live in jeans. for "work" i pair them with cowboy boots or sketchers. but at home...i do anything from more cowboy boots, flip flops, wedge sandals, or stilletto heels. you can make jeans go with ANYTHING!!! it's all in the attitude! lol
