Grace-N-Mercy -> RE: losing weight without spending a nickel (3/5/2008 7:42:42 AM)

I have a confession. Confession is good for the soul, right? [:)] I'm sure I'll get blasted for this, but well, here it is. When I started on this eating plan, I had every intention of making it as healthy as possible. After all, I'm doing it for health benefits more than weight loss. However, I would get lazy here & there and skip this portion of the meal or that to save time (I'm taking some really tough classes right now). I did well... too well perhaps. I wasn't hungry. There were no cravings because all the sugar was out of my system. I was feeling great. So one night I went to bed early and skipped dinner. Yeah, I was hungry the next morning, but no biggie. So another night, I just forgot about dinner after coming home to hit the books. Another day, I didn't have time for breakfast, or dinner that evening. Still, I *felt* fine. But I'm not ok with this. It's not healthy. This morning, I'm going onto phase II to include whole grains, fruits, etc. back into the diet. I had only gone without these for 10 days to *jump-start* the plan and cleanse my system. (It has a wonderful affect of bringing the blood sugar and cholesterol levels back to normal when I do it this way.) So, I'm having a bowl of regular oatmeal and a cup of tea. *smile* It feels good to be back to normal. [:D]
