Donna! I love it! Tell Brian I think 'Cletus Brian Jr' is AWESOME! And 'Redneck Garage' is a perfect shop name.

Don't you agree both are just Brian? LOL But no way am I naming an innocent baby that.[&:][:D] Maybe I should tell him he can change his own name to Cletus if he really wants.[;)]

Royal.Fortress -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/30/2008 12:16:33 PM)

Awwwww .... Donna and Cletus - it sounds wonderful! [8D]

He's so silly...I love that man.

Brian has been joking that this baby will be named "Cletus Brian Jr." if it is a boy. I reminded him that I'm the one that fills out the birth certificate paperwork and he'd have a hard time getting it past me. He claims it will fit nicely with what he intends to name his garage when he opens one someday...Redneck's Garage. Weirdo (about the baby name...I actually like the garage name...it's very Brian[;)]).

Donna, he's right. It would fit nicely. [:D]

Erin- you definitely need to post a picture!!!!

Lily- What a perfect pregnant belly! I hope you're not getting too uncomfortable as these last few weeks tick by.

Emily- after your showers, are you feeling pretty set for everything you need for David?

Stretch marks- I don't have any yet, which is suprising to me. I'm sure one day I'll wake up and they'll be all over the place. [8D]

We went to dinner with my BIL & SIL last night. They're the ones that stayed with us for a couple of months this winter. As a thanks, they got us THIS high chair. They have a similar one and love it. So that's kind of exciting. [:)]

Purejoy - that is a nice one!! I nannied for a family with twins who had that style. It was really nice [:)] What a nice gift!!

LOL - glad to see I've invoked everyone's competitive side The race is on!!

not that I am trying to be a spoil sport or make everyone miserable, but please remember that some of us are not exactly on the list where we initially intended to be. So commenting on and on about it is really hard to read for some of us.

lilyofthefield -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/30/2008 3:17:26 PM)

You all sure know how to make a girl feel good! [:)] Thanks so much for the sweet comments. I guess I'm lucky not to have stretch marks, but to be honest I think they (along with all the mommy changes) are a beautiful testament to motherhood. I DO have mommy cellulite on my butt and thighs - LOL! DH thinks I'm funny b/c I actually like it when he tells me how big my butt has gotten. [&:] Pregnancy has made me feel more womanly and feminine than I ever felt before. I love it!

Kati, I actually feel really good. I am tired (doing the every 2 hour potty thing at night) and have the back pain, but I feel so much better than I thought I would at this point (and feel very blessed and grateful for that).

Kim and Emily, since we all have kiddos in similar positions, if I go first I'll let you know what happens! Kim, this probably sounds crazy, but I don't know if I'd really mind going to 42 weeks that much (except how much bigger he'd be). I think knowing that we might never experience this again just makes me want to hold on to every moment!

Brandy -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/30/2008 4:09:35 PM)

34 week check up this morning. No weight gain. YAY. exactly the same. Woohoo for cutting out fast food.

Heartbeat good, blood pressure perfect. see you in two weeks. As I'm leaving she says to bring my disability paperwork with me next visit, apparently state of Cali at 36 weeks can have a doc put you on disability for 6 wks. Once the baby is here you get 6 wks of bonding time called Family Medical Leave Act. Up to 50% of pay. hmmmmm. I dont think I want to leave 2 wks earlier than I told boss man but we shall see. Stress is getting to me lately.

After appt I ran lots of errands.. one of which I deeply regret. I got a haircut. At SuperCuts. HORRIBLE now that it's dry. Going to give it a few days and see how it works out, but almost ready to just book an appt wiht my old girl who is half an hour away. Just to fix it. bleh. bleh. bleh.

Good news, bought two new soft cup full coverage bras. YAY. and shampoo/conditioner as a treat. YAY. And nail trimmers for Cats. YAY. then went to my new favorite organic food place and got lunch. And a bag of handmade licorice. MMMMM.

I think the baby is face forward with body angled to my left, spine on right. Weird feelings when she moves alot. I hope she spins around and I encourage her as best I can.

Donna! That is the sweetest thing your dear Hannah said! What a blessing she gave you! [:)]

SuperCuts is the only discount hair place that I have ever had a problem with. After I first cut my hair short I went there for them to even it out. Later I was looking at my hair and there were several places where some hair was longer than the rest.

Lily - I'm also glad not to have stretch marks!! I'm fully anticipating some when baby drops, though. I've still got up to 8 weeks of growing left to do, so I'm not holding out on being stretch-mark free [;)] I can understand you being completely fine with going to 42 - especially since that's still within "normal range", I think we should ALL be okay with that! But especially since you tried for so long - I'm glad that you've been able to really enjoy your pregnancy =)

Brandy - yay for a good appointment! Are you planning to go back to work after the 6 weeks is up?

Sarah - sorry about that. It's hard to remember when people's heaven babies were due and it's also hard not to be super excited about the impending arrival of our little ones - especially because we're all first timers due so close together. I truly didn't mean to be insensitive to the losses of other women - again, I'm sorry.

Lily - You look FANTASTIC!!!! So pretty. [:D]

BlessedMamaofmany -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/30/2008 7:55:58 PM)

Hey! What would you girls say to me starting the new preg thread? I want to so bad! Call me silly, but I've never gotten to start one of the 'big' chat threads before. [:)]
pleasepleasepleaseplease??

Brandy -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/30/2008 8:01:35 PM)

I know we need to start one and were going to for tomororw right? Ask one of the mods if you can start it, they lock it and save it??

That's all I can think of.

Catherine - thats exactly the problem.

Kim - I highly doubt I will need to go back to work at all. If I do it will NOT be at the same place. I can barely manage a day there anymore. It's just so pathetic with employee driven petty high school garbage. BLEH.

PrincessDonna -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/30/2008 8:48:30 PM)

You could start it today. It was just me and my obsessiveness wanting a nice even day.[8D] Go for it, Sandy.

Brandy -> RE: '08 Pregnancy Chat/Support (cont'd) (4/30/2008 8:50:31 PM)

THANK YOU Donna for saying that. I just had a mini eye twitched induced meltdown because ALL the new threads that got made today are made today, NOT tomorrow MAY 1, the first of the month which is a MUCH better day in my eyes to start new threads.

Yes. I'm weird about day/dates. It's ok. I accept it.

Makes writing checks hard though on odd pay or due dates.
