You could also do it with a Netti Pot. When I was having chronic sinus infections(they stopped when I moved to Colorado) that was the only thing that helped after almost a year solid of antibiotics.

Yup yup yup!! Those "snot pots" are amazing!! Paul was so doubtful and would stand and try to make me laugh while I'd clean out my nose, but then he needed to use it and now he's a fan too

Did you ladies see THIS STORY on the news? The woman is a 34 FFF after 8 surgeries and wants to be bigger!! Yesterday on the news they said she'd had two ribs taken out and a tummy tuck done too. I don't know how she thinks it's attractive - there are pictures of her and it shows a lot of cleavage. It really truly looks like a rear end on her chest to me.

I did grocery shopping this morning - spent $60 on $87 worth of stuff. I read the commissaries coupon policy last night and they are required to allow overage on the coupons (as opposed to adjusting the coupon to the price of the item) so I probably had close to $10 of overage from the coupons go towards the other non-couponed items.
(For those that shop at the commissary things like Glade room spray are .89 and there have recently been a lot of $1/off coupons. Ortega taco seasoning is .44/each and there are coupons for $1/2 Ortega products.)

I came home around noon, put Judah down for a nap and he is still sleeping! (three hours later!) I napped for about two hours and then Paul surprised me by coming home early - scared me to death since I was asleep But it's nice to have him home!

It's pretty rediculous how many working computers we have in our house. We have a Mac in the bedroom, a PC in Timmy's room (used for DVDs and Elmo game), and 3 PCs in the living room, plus a bunch of parts in the linen uh, I mean computer closet.

I think eventually the surgeries just become an obsession/addiction.

What gets me about that lady is that her dream was to be super-size chested? I can get if you feel like you chest is smaller than average to dream of being able to be average and have clothing fit better and all that... but FFF? That's just beyond my comprehension!

Erin- I can't keep my mouth shut either when I see a topic that interests me!!

Overall we had a really great family day today. We had a wonderful breakfast at Cracker Barrell where Hunter packed away the food. The aquarium was a frustrating headache and we left after 45 minutes. I can not really tell if it was great or not because we were unable to do or see most of the stuff there. There were a lot of school groups there and then on top of that there was even more just regular folks there. I am sure we would have enjoyed it a lot more if it wouldn't have been so crowded. Right across the street though was a playground at Centennial Park so we let him get some energy out. Then we went to IKEA which we have never been too before, but figured since we were in Atlanta we might as well. Can I just say WOW! We spent 2 hours walking around the store and it was amazing. Now we are all home relaxing and going to enjoy the rest of our evening together. I am thinking about being really bad and making monkey bread to snack on tonight, but we shall see.

Hmm ... that woman seems to be a beauty surgery addict! Now, that being said, I had surgery in April 2006, but it was a breast reduction, not enlargement! I was tired of sitting down and having 'the gals' rest comfortably in my lap! I lost almost 10 pounds with that surgery, and gained just over an inch of height, since I could finally stand upright again!

Regarding the computers, dh and I have 'his and her' laptops ... we got them from Dell in January 2007 as a belated Christmas gift, as they were having a fantastic New Year's sale. Once we had both laptops up and running properly, we decided to donate our desktop to a local homeless shelter so the residents there could practice their computer skills, work on resumes, etc.

Chelle, the aquarium is nice, but crowds can be a real bother. It's not large, though, which I kind of like. I've been to that Ikea! dH and I liked it a lot, especially when they show a whole example apartment in say 750 sq. ft. of space (perfect if you're moving to Japan).

I spent a few college semesters working right next to Centennial Park, too. I was a co-op, and my company was helping to build the basketball arena adjacent to the CNN building.

Phew, I am exhausted!
Our fire department is having a fundraiser tomorrow, a bean/ham/scallop supper.
Today I have made a cake, soaked beans, baked two hams, went to the city for two appointments, stopped at the grocery store, came back home, put groceries away, cleaned up the kitchen, peeled 10 lbs of potatoes, made icing for the cake, par-boiled the beans, put them in the oven with the sauce, cleaned up the kitchen again. And in between all that stuff, feed the little one supper, ate my own supper, bathed the little one, pj's, bottle, rocked him to sleep, put him to bed. I just finished making formula for tomorrow and trying to load everything in the fridge!

A lot of these things could have been done tomorrow, except we're going to pick up our trailer!!!!! YAY, I'm so excited!
So, all I have left to do is assemble my potato scallop in the morning, throw it in the oven, then we're heading to the next province to hook on the trailer, come home and then we're both working at the dinner. Not sure what we're doing with Chase yet...

I'm REALLY hoping for a good night's sleep tonight, so I better get to bed now while I can.

Have a fabulous weekend y'all!!!! (I won't be around for a bit, sunday is a busy day too)

God Bless all you moms on Mother's day!

Yolanda - I feel exhausted too!! Hope you have fun!

I am going to be taking it easy all weekend - which isn't such a good thing because the last few days I haven't gotten a whole lot done because Judah's been sick. But I've started to feel (what I think is) pulling at the stitch, so Paul's asked me to take it easy and to stay laying down/reclined (other than church) till my appointment on Tuesday (unless things don't change/get worse then I'll call L&D.)

Yesterday my doula had called to see if I'd help her out - she'd being interviewed on the local news station and needed a pregnant woman to demonstrate some things on... I'd said yes, but then the problems started. So I'm thinking of calling and telling her I can't do it.

What do you ladies do for your mothers and mils for Mother's Day? Growing up I never did much - maybe a card, or making lunch/doing all the clean up, but it was never a huge deal to my mum so it was never a big deal to us kids. (And being a mum now Mother's Day isn't that big of a deal to me either...) but anyways... since getting married I have written my mum something each Mother's Day - my mum has had a couple books published (YEARS ago) and loves writing, so I think writing something for/about her is something she appreciates. Last year I submitted what I wrote about her to a writing contest and won $300 worth of jewelry for her It was pretty sweet.

This year I just wrote a "letter" to her and posted it on my blog ... she hasn't seen it yet (or at least hasn't responded to it!) but I'm dying to know what she thinks

Paul grew up with Mother's Day being super special and he wants us to do gifts and cards for our mothers. He told me this a couple days ago- when it was too late to buy something and send it ourselves (and we don't have a huge budget so we can't just have flowers delivered - and I don't think she would like that.) I think his mom will just get an e-card this year and a phone call. I need to be a better wife and stay on top of what my husband wants me to do for each holiday long before the holiday is upon us

We're taking our moms together (w/ dads ) out to dinner tonight to Olive Garden. I'm figuring time spent with them is what they mainly want.

We've never done big Mothers Day, for one my mom really could care less, if I got her a mushy card or something she'd make fun of me so we never really do much. Tonight we are having Klays family over for a cookout (if it doesnt rain). Its for Mothers Day and his grandmothers birthday and his brother and his wife are in visiting. So Mothers Day really isnt a big deal around here. Its kind of sad to me because I am a "mushy" sentimental type person. It'd be nice if hubby did something for me for Mothers Day, since I will be a mother soon, but he wont. I dont know, "holidays" like this always get to me because my family never acknowledges them, but alot of that comes from being from a farm family, work always goes on no matter what the day. I think the dreary weather here and the hormones are getting to me today.

I will be taking the kids to mass tonight so that we can attend curch with mom and dad tomorrow. Then for lunch we will be going to the Country Club (hubby is cooking since he is the only chef there) and they are serving two specials, roast duck a'laorange, apricot roasted lamb, roast beef. I am so excited about tomorrow.

That's what I thought.

My kids have conspired with my mother and gone shopping. They are very excited about their presents for me. They are also planning on making me breakfast in bed: the same recipe I used to make for my mom. They will be doing this without any adult supervision. We are pretending I don't know what they are planning even though I do know what's going on. You can pray they don't burn the house down, etc tomorrow AM.

Then we are going to church in the AM. I have a lilly plant and an inexpensive reed diffuser for my SS at church. I have the same reed diffuser for my mom and I already gave her a plant. I went from the store to her house anyway so I gave it to her then. She doesn't know about the other gift. After church we are going to have lunch at my parents' house. Mom offered to cook whatever I wanted but I had kind of decided I wanted to get wings for dinner so I suggested we do dogs and burgers at her place at lunch time. Then I can come home and take a nap in the afternoon. I'll go out for the wings in the evening. They are more expensive than pizza or Burger Kind so if I need a meal out I never get them. I set aside some money to get them.

It is nice not living near my inlaws anymore. They always went out for dinner on MD. Also everyone was expected to give gifts to every woman above them in the family tree so my husband had to give a gift/card to his mom and grandma. My kids were expected to give separate gift/card to their grandmother and great grandmother. I always sat there thinking we can't afford all these gifts/cards so I couldn't enjoy it much because it was always more than we couild afford.

Praying you all have a wonderful MD tomorrow.

Donna, sorry about your sinus infection. I hope you feel better soon.

Sandy, yay for the rebate check. I feel bad because we won't be spending ours on stuff like Uncle Sam wants. We'll be paying off some debt. Oh, well...the tax return we bought a car and a computer, so that was good.

Ryanne, congrats on your weight loss goal.

Yolanda, are you talking about your camping trailer? That will be so cool. Do you have your first camping trip planned?

Last night me and hubby smoked our last cigarette. We both put the patch on before bed, and whoa did I have some weird dreams about Moses and Osama Bin Laden. It was cool though, I like dreams. It's one of the side afffects of sleeping with it on. I'll probably blog about my dreams today.

Today, we are dropping Timmy AND Jimmy off at mom's so we can go out to dinner for our anniversary. Then Timmy will spending the night at grandma's. I didn't get a chance to pump because I lost the power supply to both pumps, and I didn't have enough batteries. Oh, well...I think Jimmy will be OK for a couple hours. I don't have BPA free bottles to pump into either, so yeah....

we don't do anything for my MIL's...they have never acknowledged me on MD either. In fact a few years ago (when I was barely pregnant with Emma) we were visiting them that weekend of MD and every other person there got cards from everyone, flowers, and gifts... except me. They have never really acknowledged our kids on birthdays or Christmas either...or hubby...he has never even gotten a birthday card from any of them. My mom on the other hand though we send cards to every year and try to be with her when we can. We have been there the last few years (the last two we met up with my brother and SIL and her family at the lake for a boat race). The year before that I surprised my mom for MD by flying in with the kids from Germany just to see her (she freaked out over that one). The year before that was when we were visiting the IL's....and that was a horrible MD for me. I/we will never again be visiting them for any holiday because of the way we have been treated (like we aren't really even part of the family) the times we have been there. My dad doesn't talk to us (quit back when I was pregnant with Emma), so we only basically have my mom

I got my mom a gift certificate to a local nursery, so she can buy more flowers for her flower beds. I'll also take her (and me! ) out for ice cream tomorrow night before we go back to her house and watch the Survivor Finale together.

"Brian" (yeah right...we all know he'd not think of his mother unless I did it for him...) got his mother a gift certificate to a Chinese place she likes. He'll take the kids over there tomorrow while I'm with my Mommy.

Jess - Hope you are able to take it easy today and you start feeling better stitch wise. Oh I read your blog for Mother's Day and it was so well written and so true.

Regarding Mother's Day - We do gifts for both mother's and my mom does something usually for my sister and I. My MIL didn't acknowledge it all last year so we shall see about this year. Yesterday was my Mother's Day gift and it was wonderful.

Today has been so nice. A couple of friends and I (Hunter too) went to a local place to pick strawberries. I filled one bucket and it weighed in at 4 lbs....whoa! I didn't mean to pick that much so I am freezing some because we will never eat 4 lbs before they go bad. Hunter did really good and enjoyed a fresh from the vine strawberry while I picked. Then we all went to grab lunch afterward at Zaxby's...yum! In a minute I am putting Hunter down for a nap and then going to scrub our bathroom down because it needs it bad! We have some out town friends coming by later tonight as well that we haven't see in a while. It will be nice to visit for a few hours and see their little baby, so excited!

Thanks Chelle! Since getting up from (Judahs!) nap time at 2 I haven't felt anything, so hopefully all is good. But I've also been sitting down since then too... so it's not really a good test
My mum just read what I wrote for her - knowing what she thinks about what I write means so much to me.

Judah's a nut - I think he is playing "mommy and daddy" - he has been putting Paul's hat on his head and walking around saying "bye bye" and walking to the door. Then he'll take the hat off and get my purse and put it over his shoulder and say "bye bye" and walk to the door. He's not trying to leave - he tries to put his shoes on when he wants to go outside - I think he's just pretending to be us!! It's SO CUTE!

Jess, take it easy! I have to say, the thought of having a stitch in my cervix that it is "pulling" makes me cringe. It was bad enough having my cervix biopsied, let alone having a stitch in it

Mother's Day- I send my mom and Godmother cards, MIL gets a card. They all get a framed family photo to add to their ever growing collections.

Micah is taking me to get my first tattoo and then we will do Chinese or a steak house for dinner... and Gabby is buying me new earings, she just doesn't know that yet
