This weeked I'm tackling all the dishes that are piled up in my kitchen. My dishwasher has been broken since Tuesday, and we won't be getting a new one put in till maybe Wednesday. My neighbor said I could bring all my dishes to his house and use his dishwasher, and I'm seriously considering it. He works all weekend, so I wouldn't be bothering him. Give me a chance to spend some time with his kitty too. Sunday I think we're going big grocery shopping. I wish we could go Saturday, but we don't get foodstamps until the 9th. I hate it when the 9th falls on a Sunday. Oh, well, at least we'll have some real food! Hubby didn't get a chance to pick up WIC from the store, so I haven't had chocolate milk and cereal in three days. I'm jonesing for some dairy. Timmy's Lactaid is nasty. Luckily Ford is nice enough to loan us a car for Sunday so we can go grocery shopping. I think I'm going to go through all the toys again and put a lot of stuff away. They have so many toys it's rediculous. I'm hoping to get it down to one shelf, one giant toybox and one milk crate. I'm also going to find all the Hot Wheels this weekend and put them in the Hot Wheels case. I found 13 behind the dresser today, and 8 underneath his mattress last week. Timmy owns over 70 Hot Wheels. When the maintenance men came over, they commented on how many toys my kids have, and I felt kind of embarassed. Like, "Maybe you wouldn't live in this dump if you would quit spending all your money on toys." They didn't actually say that, but that's what it felt like. I've been getting some flack from my friend because we gave Timmy back his binky in the daytime. She was adimant about taking her son's binky away at 1 years old, teething or not. (It's really weird that we are best friends. We never agree on anything religious or anything regarding children.) I guess I felt a little embarrassed when the maintenance men came over and saw him with it. But taking away Timmy's binky is like taking away another kid's special stuffed animal or special blanket. His binky IS his lovey. Since we gave it back to him, and he started drinking less juice, his behavior has been so much better. He throws like 3 times a day now instead of 50 times an hour. He will actually sit down and play with something instead of having to always move. And, he takes it out to talk. It's kinda weird though, when he leaves his binky behind somewhere, he automatically starts throwing stuff. Not like a tantrum, just for fun and to watch it crash. But, as soon as I give it back to him, he doesn't throw anymore. It's nice because now I don't have to worry about Jimmy getting hit with a Hot Wheel.
