you may want to give the scripture that says God won't give us more than we can bear but will give us a way out of temptation and explain why it is taking it out of context to say "God won't give us more than we can handle." I'd add another sentence or two addressing that... Good idea. And I agree...Sandy, you are a great writer. Easy to read and catch your tone in your writing, and I don't think it's just because I have met you IRL.

It's not. I was an English Lit Major and have edited loads of papers as well as written a few thousand. I also worked as a free-lance writer straight out of college... so it's my unbiased opinion that you are a good writer.

Love it, Sandy! You do have a nice writing style. Like Zippy, I have read/edited more then my fair share of papers and your writing is very easy to read, you have a great "voice".

Sandy, I love the devotional. I agree about adding the part about temptation (the context of "God won't give us more that we can handle" in regard to temptation but will provide a way of escape). Also, listen to what God is saying through you and let him teach you also. I think it is a beautiful one and very timely.

Perfect... well, almost! 3 things to edit: 1. Capitalize 1 cor 10:13 twice 2. Check spelling on Psalms on first verse at bottom 3. Delete footnote link in last verse quoted

Sandy, I love your devotional. It is something I need to hear right now since we'll be smoking our last cigarette tomorrow night. I also love your writing style. Nicole, is a lot of your produce grown there in Australia or is it imported from South America and places like that? A lot of our produce here in the states is from here, but also S.A., but that's a lot closer to us than you. Maybe it costs less to import to us since we're closer. Our gas is cheaper too, so the cheaper the gas, the cheaper it is to ship it across the country, the cheaper it is on the shelf. Today is me and hubby's third wedding anniversry, and he bought me some beautiful pink roses. My fav color!

Sandy, that is great writing. I'm heading off to my mom's small group. I've been really emotional lately, I don't know what's going on. Everything makes me want to cry. Some lady won a car on the price is right the other day and she said "Thank you Jesus" and I started crying about that. And that story about the girls who play baseball and carried the injured girl around the bases for her homerun...they were on Ellen yesterday and that made me cry. (no i'm not pregnant) I did stop taking my meds for PPD, but it's been 2 months or more since I've been off them. Anyway, just hoping I can get through group without crying for no apparent reason. AND...I might need a little prayer...we were reading a really great book in our group about creating space in our lives, and we finished that, and now we're on this Bible study workbook, and I don't like it There's nothing wrong with it, I just feel like I'm in sunday school or Bible college again. I probably really need to hear some of what's in it, but I've always had a hard time with stuff like that...I have some sort of hardness against it. SO, if y'all could pray that we can break down some walls so that I can get something out of this book?? Much appreciated I need to leave in 20 minutes, and neither of us is dressed, better run!

ORIGINAL: BlessedMamaofmany Yolanda, sounds like the meds wearing off to me. I would keep a close eye on yourself and see if it doesn't start to get better soon. My kids are so trainwreck-y today. Amanda cries at the drop of a hat, Sissy won't control herself, and Wesley is clinging like a fat little burr. Isaiah is okay, but cling-y-er than usual too. this will pass this will pass this will pass. Today is pwoc, so we all get a break from one another today, that'll be nice. And my friend offered to go with me to my new house for the inspection and keep the littles busy, so I'm stoked about that. Sandy Sandy.....I thought of something you can do for your two oldest girls that might help them. When you can afford it, put together a special box of "daddy making craft stuff"....things they can make for daddy (cards, paper, scissors, markers/crayons, etc) and put it in a special box just for each of them, then tell them it's just for making stuff for daddy when they miss him. Then they can hopefully express more things more easily when they need to because of missing him.
