ORIGINAL: WhiteRoseBlessings Well, that's where I differ vastly from other people in regards to dating. I don't date to get to know someone; I date because I have gotten to know them. Case in point; I met my late husband at a coffee shop. We had many wonderful conversations in that coffee shop. 5 months later, we went on our first date together. Do you have a hang-out place? Do you go to church? What about some of your classes? Any of these places have any women that you could get to know? Last night I went to a Starbucks close to wear I live after I went to the library, to order a skinny decaf mocha "weirdly could you put some whip cream on it"? The young guys in the shop were all under 30 to me (I can't always tell age though). I assumed they were chatty since it was late and I was one of two customers. He said "I hope you don't mind here if I sit down here talking like this to you." One guy sat down chatting to me as he finished my mocha. He asked me "how was your day? great weather..." Got me to telling him I had a good day "except I want a job"...and "I want inside sales"...and he said to me "he was looking to move up in the world, loved his job at Starbucks..." which I heard as "move up here" so I asked "where are you from?" ...he corrected me... And anyway, I got my mocha and was walking out...he said "Have a great evening...[my first name]!" I stopped, looked around, then just walked out of there. I was tempted to go back and ask "how did you know my first name?" but I honestly did not want that conversation. I am clueless how he knew me. I just know he looked way too young to me and chances are high that he is not a Xtian, plus I have the feeling he chats to females all the time. Shoot, for all I know, he was not picking up on me and he was just being friendly. I got a weirder story from the DMV...another guy waaay to young for me, a week ago. "Do girls date guys at the DMV?" I have no idea why suddenly guys too young for me are chatting to me...but I am not moved. I just have never reacted well to very outgoing guys (especially if they are out of my age range) ...I think I am too introverted. I like to get to know a guy first before I would go out on a real date. It sounds like the other Crosswalk rose...like those were some magical times getting to know your late husband in a coffee shop. *Sigh* [:)]
