Testing, testing.....

I just tried to post in here and the whole thread disappeared. Everything I touch today seems to be jinxed.

Oh my goodness, Apaise. Those are some magical powers that can make a thread disappear.

Practice them on somebody else's thread. I like mine right here.

Seriously, I've been having trouble posting almost all day. Sometimes they go and sometimes they don't and sometimes I think they didn't but they did.

Thanks!

Different subject.....
I have been having trouble with my right eye all afternoon. It's like there's a film over it all the time. And my eyelid is a little bit puffy. Irksome.

That happens to me too, ever since I had RK (similar to laser) treatment on my eyes. It's like looking through saran wrap.

Don't remember what part of the world you'all are in, but I read that TN has an extremely HIGH pollen count right now!

When did you have RK done, Kath?

I did have Lasik 5 yrs ago and have some sensitivity to light now and more dryness but not enough to bother me. I'd almost think this was pinkeye except I don't know how I woulda got it.

I'm north of TN and I did think of allergies but it's only one eye. 'Course, the other one may start at any time.

Can you rinse it gently with some saline and see if that helps? Might be the HIGH pollen count. Ooops, missed your post. Check at weather.com and check the pollen count in your area. Sometimes one eye can be more sensitive than the other when it comes to things like that.

See . . . if y'all would drink more veggie juice and more fruit smoothies, you wouldn't have allergies.
(Says a current Tennessean who hasn't been affected by any pollen).

Lioness, that is so frustrating, isn't it! I can't stand when something like that happens to my eye.
For me, it's usually because I didn't take my makeup off (and then it takes me days to clear my eyes up)

I hope the situation is very short-lived for you, whatever is causing it.

it's been forever, I think...13-14 years ago. Laser was just coming out and I didn't trust it. Now that I think about it, it would have been better to have a machine do it than to trust the dr to have steady hands while slicing into my eyeball. I do have scarring that is annoying but my eyesight is so much improved I don't care. I seriously had like 20/400. Now I'm 20/50.

Shar-Mar, if you were to recommend a juicer -- which one would it be? I'm thinking of getting one.

Thanks! I just checked and, you're right, it's VERY HIGH right now. I'm gonna rinse that eye and then put a warm wet teabag on it and see what happens after that.

I'm so glad I had it done. I don't remember what my sight was but, the last time I was at the eye dr, it was 20/25. I used to wear contacts and would get ulcers on my eyes from them. And not wearing glasses is SOOOOO much better than wearing them.

Ooooh! Good idea! Let me give that some thought. I bet I can come up with one or two.

Shouldn't be too hard for me to find one in there.

Keep me posted, Coeur.

Brenda, I haven't researched new juicers in a few years, but I really like my Krups; I've had it for 8 years and it's still going strong.

I hear Champion is a good brand also (although I don't know that; I've just heard it).

I have heard good things about Krups. If I get one of those and start drinking healthy, I just might get skinny.... Hmmmm.... then I'd have to buy all new clothes, purses, accessories.... just don't know if I can afford to become that materialistic -- I wouldn't want my friends here to think I was .... sinful!

I just checked my bank account and my economy stimulus check didn't come. I thought those that filed electronically were suppose to get it by the 9th.

OK! Getting caught up...

My vision is worse than 20/800 (that was a few years ago and their a little worse now). With glasses I can see 20/20.

I got my tax rebate on Weds, but I know some other direct depositers who haven't received theirs yet. There is a place on the IRS website where you can find out what day yours is supposed to come (exact day, not the estimates).

I hadn't actually realized that I've had mine for 8 years . . . but yep; I got it very soon after I moved to Jackson in 2000.

THAT's a lot of veggie juice!
