LOL

Is that more unholy glee?

so, so sorry to hear about your mother's days yesterday. my mom and i don't have the best relationship either.

((((Elastic))))

And thank you for my hug too!

I actually had a wonderful Mother's Day. Our SS class was great, worship service was great, we had Church just in the choir...could have called it a day from there. I spent the day with my hubby and GB and they doted on me and slathered me with hugs and kisses. It was a very good day.

When I put my letter from my Aunt aside so it wouldn't ruin my day, I really put it out of my mind.

I'm so sorry to hear about how negative your mom is. There are so many blessings they just refuse to have because of that attitude...very sad. You are an incredible woman and daughter to deal with it the way you have.

Just lots of stuff on my mind Lioness. Emotions, stress, all kinds of things. It throws my sleeping pattern out of wack.

Poor (((Terri)))!

I have been so blessed to not have sleep problems. Just can't imagine that.

I just prayed for you.

Anything we can help you think about? Do you need to visit the hundred acre wood and climb some trees? Stop over at FunBetty's for cookies? Swing by Ed's place for cheesecake? (I just brought over a selection )

If all else fails, I can send you the notes from my meeting today. They'll put you right to sleep!!

I could sleep fine right now. Now i'm fighting sleep. Last night at 2 and 3 am was a different story.

I went to the woods to think...

I had cheesecake for breakfast...

Since I had cheesecake I must forego the cookies...

I'm just ready for 5:30 so I can go home and go to sleep.

Thanks for the prayers! It means a lot to me. I'm just dealing with a lot right now.

thank you for that. i know that a lot of the hurtful things she says to me comes out of sheer jealousy. she didn't get to do a lot of things that she had planned and dreamed to do because she got married and then had a kid. so she sees me getting to do pretty much everything i've always said i wanted to do at least once, and it hurts her. but she can't understand that she made her choices and i am making mine. she'd like to choose for me and i won't let her. she has to accept me with all my quirks and ticks, and not try to make me into something i'm not. and that is just that.

and terri, have you ever tried melatonin? i use the sublingual ones from GNC. cherry flavored. i take 1/2 of one about an hour before i want to be asleep, and it usually allows me sleep all night

the sublingual ones dissolve under the tongue.

Everything else has been done, so lets Pray.

Father, I pray in the name of Jesus, that you would take Terri in your arms right now and give her the comfort and the peace that she needs. I pray that she would be able to rest in you, trust in you Lord and that she would have the energy she needs to finish out this day. I pray that she would walk through the rest of this day in your divine peace and when she goes to lay her head on her pillow Lord take the burden that she is carrying Lord so she can have deep renewing sleep In Jesus' name, Amen.

Good news! My roof is fixed! My erstwhile fil and bil were just here and had it all put back together in about 20 minutes. The shingles all just kinda peeled back but were still intact and undamaged. Bil put extra nails all along the whole edge while he was at it. YAY!

I had never heard of Melatonin till yesterday when my sister mentioned my nephew taking it. I try to sleep as natural as I can because I don't like being "addicted" to those types of meds. I'll take a sleeping pill every now and then if its crucial, but I hate waking up after taking them. I may have to try something though. As of right now i'm so tired I could sleep on the cold, hard floor.

Thank you for the prayers Nadine. I can say that i've prayed today. From the time I left my house till the time I got to school was a non-stop. It wasn't a full hour, but it was sweet.

Fritz, praise The Lord your roof is fixed!!! What a great fil and bil you have/had.

Get to my thread when it is convenient. Enjoy coffee with your GirlChild! I take GB for "coffee". I get an iced white mocha with whipped cream and she eats all the whipped cream, then I drink the rest. She thinks she's the stuff getting coffee.

Ooooh, speaking of that, my Bible is ready to be picked up (I sent it off to be thumb indexed, or cheat tabs as I call 'em) and there's a Starbucks along the way.

Amen to Nadine's prayer!

Terri, melatonin isn't a sleeping pill, it just helps regulate your natural sleep cycle. I took it for a while after my munchkin was born to help me get back to a regular sleeping cycle. Well, after he was sleeping through the night. Them babies can keep you up and mess up your sleep big time. But they sure are adorable.

i know focusing already addressed this, but you actually have melatonin in your system, it's what makes you sleep.

it's not a drug and is non-habit forming. i can sleep without them, but they make falling asleep easier for me because i have a problem shutting my brain down at the end of the day.

just didn't want you thinkin' i was a drug addict. i actually take very little in the way of any sort of medicine...every once in a while i'll take ibuprophen, but that's about it.

melatonin is quite safe...and since it's already in your body, you aren't adding anything harmful to your system.
