I had thought of this yesterday, but Daniel's homeschooling question prompted me to post.

What church denomination are y'all?

Neat thread! I was contemplating starting one, but couldn't decide which ten denominations to choose.

I attend a non-denominational evangelical church. Any suggestions which I should vote? Or might it perhaps be a good idea to take a denomination that's unlikely to get any votes (Episcopalian?) and change it to "Non-Denominational (Christian)"?

Feel no obligation, it's just a thought.

I would fit into the non-denominational category as well so will vote if that's added.

I also attend a non-denominational church (Vineyard). Mine NEVER gets mentioned at any SG concerts or anything. Of course, that's probably because Vineyards tend to be contemporary in their music choice. But that would be MY vote :-)

As the poll lady, I am glad to inform you that you can add options (more than ten) Just do this:

1) Click on "Edit Poll"
2) Then click on "Add Option"
3) Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each additional option.

Okay, I added Non-denom for all you non denom people. There is now an "Other" too in case there are any obscure churches out there.

Voted Baptist because that is what I have been since the 70's. I was Methodist before that time.

I originally read this as non-demon, and I was thinking: "Count me in."

I used to tell people that I was a Two-Seed-In-the-Spirit Predestinarian Baptist, but then I became afraid that I would run into one of the few remaining members and they would start asking questions.

i voted Pentecostal, but that also is a broad category. I attend The Church of God (Cleveland TN), which is definitely pentecostal. I attended The Assembly of God for most of my life, which is also pentecostal. Other pentecostal denominations include: Church of God of Prophecy, Pentecostal Holiness, Pentecostal Church of God, and many of the non-denominationals. Many people, when they speak of pentecostals are referring to the so called "oneness" movement. This movement is part of the pentecostal movement and consists of several denominations, the largest of which is the United Pentecostal Church. There is at least one branch of Baptists that are pentecostal in belief. So to get a real definitive poll would require a lot of choices.

You wouldn't happen to attend the same church as Greg Casto, would you? I know he preaches in Cleveland, TN, (and used to sing in the group with which I currently sing).
