None of the above. They're pretty much straight up modern rock. Not to say they sound like everyone else but if I had to categorize them that is where I would put them.
They definitely aren't like Evanescence (modern rock with the "symphonic", slightly dark touches), they're not metal like In This Moment (although the singer has the same ability to go from sweet to scream) and they aren't retro "Blondie" (like The Sounds). IOW: they don't fit into any of the cliches for female fronted bands.

Here we go again, the most useless genre category there is. I could record myself screaming with a sock in my mouth while smashing my keyboard and call it "alternative" (in the literal sense, its an alternative to all that good music). And why does "alternative" these days almost always refer to mainstream music. Makes zero sense. Anyway ... [:D]

Thats exactly what I think. I'd like to hear a little more variety as well. And some longer songs, the CD is so short. What I don't want to hear is them attempting any of the "traditional" female singer genres mentioned in the first paragraph.
