ORIGINAL: Georgia-Peach . . . I don't want to live each day of my life in fear and I don't want to pass that on to my son or future children. [. . . ] give me scripture, and just share with me. I was hoping to find other scriptures on this thread, but I haven't seen much, so here are two of my favorite scriptures for this kind of stuff ~ Chapter 26 of the Book of Isaiah is a Song of Trust in God's Protection The last two verses (20 & 21) end with: Come, my people, enter into your rooms And close your doors behind you; Hide for a little while Until indignation runs its course. For behold, the LORD is about to come out from His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity... When read in context, this surely sounds like it is one of those "double layer" texts and the future-time layer would be that God's people are hidden in a safe place during the Tribulation. Maybe I am weird, but I find it quite comforting to know that the rampant sin of rejecting Jesus will be punished. Meanwhile, I plan on entering into a room God prepared and closing the door behind me. And this one from 2 Samuel 24:3b-5 is just a beautiful picture of promise. ~ 3 The Rock of Israel spoke to me, `He who rules over men righteously, Who rules in the fear of God, 4 Is as the light of the morning when the sun rises, A morning without clouds, When the tender grass springs out of the earth, Through sunshine after rain.' 5 "Truly is not my house so with God? For He has made an everlasting covenant with me, Ordered in all things, and secured; For all my salvation and all my desire, Will He not indeed make it grow?
