A question about my avatar. Honestly, do I look like a nice woman? Seriously some of you look so nice. One older man in his avatar looks so kind. Walkinme ( I think). Kath, looks nice so does Sharron Marie, alot look just nice. Cow I love you, but you have the jock avatar ( just kidding). Do I look like the wasp, woman. I mean I am standing by a Generals Flag, a US Flag. We actually did not sit down that whole night. It was dining out with a four star I think, we only got to sit when he sat. my feet hurt so bad, high heels. Be kind, but honest, I am not that fragile. Notice I said That. What do you think?

Thanks Sharron, you look nice. I have photo fear. That is why it took so long to post one. Is that a condition? Your very pretty, and kind. I guess because of my consetvative views on the CE thread, kind of thought, you know, a little anglo. I dont know maybe insecure, had a kind of background that made me that way, and overcoming it is hard. quote:
ORIGINAL: WhiteRoseBlessings Lightshineon, First, thank you for your kind words about my avatar. Now then . . . there is absolutely nothing wrong with your avatar; not in the least. What is it you are seeing that bothers you? I don't ask this flippantly; I'm being sincere. You have made several posts saying you don't like the way you look in your pictures and even a few intimating that you're not pleased with various aspects of your current avatar. You're a very pretty woman. . . . and there's nothing wrong with standing in front of an American flag with your husband. Truly.

Lightshine- I just noticed that was a uniform and not a regular "tux" on your beloved. I am gonna ask some questions about the image in your avatar so uh.... that means they are not Off topic. I think. hehehe What service? How Long? I have never been to a Dining Out- Officer's Ball<-- Link, Yes. But never a true Dining Out. I go and remind myself over and over and over- THEY ARE PEOPLE! and not RANKS. 5 years ago sitting next to a full bird colonel would have freaked me out. This year I was fine. We talked about Scottish heritage- he had one... LOL McDonald! LOL! and me in my Allison Tartan. I think his wife was considering her own Hostess Kilt for next year! Talk about a God thing. anyway- we had a great time. Hope you did too. ~ezri

Yes Army. Active a longtime, I do not remember excactly how long, because he was\active when I married him. He did not retire, but close. was battery comander of National Gaurd, we went active for six months again at FT. Sill, where this pit was made. I think he was Cpt, there, and was up for promotion . Officers balls are fun, dining outs, are a less formal, kind of semi formal dinner usually at officers club. they are chitty chatty, not as fun. It is cool about the God thing. I never have been intimadated (sp) by rank, though, I married my husband as a second LT. I think, I just did not get it then (lol), and it stuck. I have a funny 80's photo on desktop of this computer, of me in a fluffy red ball dress, with lace gloves at officers ball. My hair was crimped, halrious. The hair, was so funny, but it looked good then. Going active again was fun, though NG, has Balls and dining outs, not the officer wives coffees, and stuff like that. What rank is your husband? What branch. time for our TOS (LOL) btw that dining out was miserable, could not sit until the Gen, sat. He did not, four hours in heels. LOL quote:

Lightshine, intimidation and rank- I was a navy brat- enlisted man. I learned early on not to beat up an officers kid. My husband and I married right out of highschool and he left for Uncle Sam's spa and resort two months later. My husband was enlisted- again I learned you don't make an officers wife look like an idiot(even if she really is) fairly fast too. Hehehehehe! I was always sticking my foot in it. Then after 10 years and making E7 ahead of his peer group Honey was approached about becoming a warrant officer. So in 2001 he did just that- he is now a CWO 3 (Chief Warrant Officer 3) and I have finally gotten over my rank intimidation syndrome. he will have 20 years active duty come Sept 13- he leaves for a Government Sponsored Mission Trip to Iraq come Sept 15th. It worked for Paul in the new testament right? Honey is in Personnel so he meets LOTS of soldiers. he is known for his faith and integrity. he would never switch to chaplaincy because they are so limited in when/what they can talk about Jesus. Honey is just a regular Joe and can talk about jesus anytime. ~ezri quote:

Like I said being an officers wife, not being in a military family, I just did not get. I stick my foot still in my mouth, and trust me no one is intimadted by me. Truth of the matter, in some cases you do not have to make an officers wife into a fool, I can do that so by myself, as I have seen others do. You and your husband seem wonderful. I will pray for his tour. My husband loves God very much too. I understand about the role of Chaplian, they are limited. CWO-3 is a great rank, your husband sounds very, very bright, and very motivated, I bet he and my husband would work well togather. I bet Kath and Ta, are going to get us (LOL), btw who did you beat up? quote:
