I am pretty sure all the new model subarus have awd standard.. of course the lighter ones and smaller engines will have better gas mileage.

the smallest car looks like it gets 27 mpg freeway.. not bad but not the greatest.

My dad has a porsche 911 twin turbo and my mom has a hummer h2. I have no idea on mpg.

If I could get by without the awd, I would, but I need it where I live -- at least in one of my cars.

We actually just bought a larger vehicle a few months ago to accomodate for our new arrival coming shortly.... It only gets 16 mpg..

Thank goodness I commute by train to work everyday.... I use it mostly for the weekend or road trips....

I love my Subaru Forester, but it doesn't get great gas mileage. I think I'm averaging around 17. When I first got it I was getting 15. I know it gets better hwy mileage. Here is a link to a chart.

Me too. My car is a 2001, and I'm the only owner. It has about 38,000 miles on it.

My 2000 VW TDI Jetta was recently totaled. *moment of silence please* I would get anywhere from 45-55 mpg on the high way. Driving 26 miles each way to work I was getting between 35-40 mpg. Now I drive a Ford Freestyle which is bigger and I get 21-25 mpg. Tis very sad.

*Moment of silence observed*

Last year, my son and I traded cars because I needed something more reliable and he needed something less expensive. So now I have a medium-sized truck that gets about 20 mpg and has a bigger tank. It cost over $65 the other day to fill up the tank! My Corolla had 180,000 miles and was getting 30-32 mpg. I miss that car!

I have put off a new purchase because I haven't had the time to do my research... but now I have the time. I wonder what I'll get.
