Well, well, well. Lookie what we've got here.

I love it! Except for the biting plant. She may have to go home with Dude.
Ummm Dude didn't bring her in.

So?
If she goes home with me she's gonna end up as salad.

Run, Cleopatra! Run!

Oh wait. You don't have legs. Nevermind. There's nothing to worry about. Really.
Nope. Nothing to worry about. As long as she don't go home with me.

I have furries at home that I don't want eaten, so I can't take her either...

Hmmm... Who brought Cleopatra? That person should take her back. I'm sure Mrs. Addams misses her.

And I found this plant thingee called "Cleopatra" -- I think it was owned by a Mrs. Addams... can we use that?
I think we have our culprit...

Now, on to what this thread is truly about....

We had our first singing this weekend. I guess i'll give you the play by play action.

Well I left yesterday and it was fairly warm but by the time I got through Charlotte it was raining cats and dogs. The drive is horrible because it is 3 hours long and i'm by myself with only the AM stations to listen to. So much to my suprise along the way I found a BP that had a Subway in it. Highlight of my morning! (Yeah I know, i'm easily pleased). Well I finally get there and of all things i'm the last to get there. I was incredibly shocked because i'm always the first person there.

So we load up the gear and head over to the church. It takes a while (2 hours!!!) to set it up because we had a new piece of equipment to use and had to go shopping for some stuff for it. Then we had to reset all the sound. First because I was sick and having major difficulty and second because it was a totally different sound arena than we were used to. So we finally get to sing and we realize I have no voice hardly at all, I was a little freaked out. We ran through a few songs and you could feel the spirit in that church. So I sang as much as I could and we decided to pack up for the night. Went to Cracker Barrell (YUM! but they had not Coca-cola cake ) to eat dinner and fellowship with one another. I must say right up there next to singing our group loves to eat.

After dinner, we loaded up and went to the place we were staying at. It was actually quite nice. The church we usually rehearse in has an apartment for missionaries, so out of the kindness of their heart they allowed us 'out-of-towners' to stay there. So I took some Nyquil and to la-la-land I went (I think I even told them I was qwerty...lol). I forgot to tell you I was awake at 5 am watching Veggie Tales! It was pretty awesome!

Woke up this morning feeling better, but still a little worn out. Got up and went over to the church this morning and heard a wonderful Sunday school lesson from Romans 6:1-18. It had to deal with grace so it really made our heart smile. Well in the midst of all commotion I forgot to take my meds when I was supposed. So by the time SS was over I was all stopped up again. So I hurried and took my meds and we prayed with the pastor of the church. Well before we got up there I looked at Jeremiah and Jessie and told them "I don't think i'm gonna be able to sing". Well I got up there and the music started playing I opened my mouth and what came out shocked me , Jeremiah even did a double take. It was the clearest purest sound I could've wished for with being sick. So we ran our first set ending with "I Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now". Needless to say they loved it and I tagged it twice at the end. Then had to do the entire song over again. The spirit was really moving in this place. It really touched us to be able to get up there and be able to do what we did. We gave our alter call. We had one young guy saved and many others that asked us to remember them in our prayers. It was a wonderful service.

Of course after service we headed down to the Golden Corral (I told you we liked to eat!). We about had church their too. It was wonderful. It was a tremendous weekend. I look forward to many more like it.

Yes he is! I'm just amazed at what He can do. We sing this song called 'Your Grace Still Amazes Me" and let me tell that song gets me everytime because it is so true!

Terri this is the first time I have been to your house except to drop off the paint. Glad you could use it over here. Things look so messy nice over here. They did a good job of messing things up decorating. Glad they are about done as they will need to go and help Lynn get her old house ready for that nasty old real estate lady.

I'm so happy that your first singing went well for you and the group, and the crud didn't stop you from singing. Only God can let us sing even when we think we can't.

On a serious note though. For all of you who read this thread, please say a prayer for our group. We had one of our members quit tonight. Pray that God's will be done in our ministry.

I'm praying for all of you. It seems that when you get going good for God, the devil wants to get you turned going the other way.

Another great God story Terri. It seems that when we are at our worst is when God can work the best in us.

As of now I haven't heard anything else. I was told to pray and pray I have. Please continue to remember us in your prayers.

I did get an email from the guy who quit, but it was basically in response to one I sent to him.

I miss singing. The church we were both saved in and later met and married in had quite a bit of talent for a small town church. Hubby and I and another man from church sang as a trio every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening service. My voice was used to doing that and sounded so good back then. I'm so out of practice now I wouldn't dare. Those were the days.

Oh, next time the Jehovah's Witlesses (or the Mormon Wishonaries) come by tell them that the person they need to speak with is your husband. Then when I get home we can double team them.
